Rarely use it. Lip gloss is most of what I use.

I only use mascara, and maybe lip gloss. Even after all these years!
I DO have a favorite brand, though.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie WATERPROOF mascara! It is the best, and it IS Waterproof! It's also hard to get off, in the shower, but worth it.

Any lip gloss will work for me, but I like Oil of Olay moisturizer, for my face.

Still the Neutrogena soap, but not the moisturiser that's made in St James's Street, and no longer the supermarket own-brand organic moisturiser I've been using for the last year or so. I went back for more last month and they'd sold out. It was £1.60 for a 30ml tube, but the tube was out of stock. It also comes in a pump but I wasn't willing to pay £5 for a 50ml pump of the same product.

So I wandered despondently round Boots, trying to focus on all the imaginative marketing names for all the same things - serum, replenishing, repairing, comforting, has moisturising disappeared from their vocabulary? - and I spotted another Neutrogena product - Ultimate Moisture. How could I resist?

I am now the happy owner of matching soap and moisturiser - and I am happy. It feels wonderful and it doesn't have a smell that will fell a horse at a hundred yards. I just hope they don't discontinue it. Everything I like gets discontinued. :(

I have used and like cover and Avon. Maybelline is ok too. I have tried more expensive brands but feel moderate priced ones are just as good so why spend more money.

I like Maybelline cosmetics and RoC skin care products. It does annoy me how often Maybelline changes their foundations. As soon as I get one that I like they change it. The names of the colours stay the same but they look different on my skin. I find the right one and bang! they change it again.

Maybelline is my personal favorite. I particularly love the shades of eyeshadow they offer: Crown Jewels, Time for Wine, Almond Truffle, and Luscious Sorbet.

I've used Mary Kay and Merle Norman, but now on my budget, it would be Cover Girl or Maybelline. Almay is a good product also.

Lately, I've been using ybf (Your Best Friend) sold by HSN. I like the automatic eyebrow pencil, foundation, and powder. Very natural looking.

I know that my wife orders from Mary Kay. This makeup stuff is a mystery to men. Doesn't it all just do the same thing? Maybe I should ask the wife why she prefers one brand over the other???

Ooooh, I love make up.. MAC for lip gloss, lipstick and eye shadow - can't beat the colours. I really struggle with mascara though, am reading these posts to get top tips, used to always use Lancome but it got a bit pricey. Ideas welcome...
