I also loved Astroworld in Houston, TX. We got season passes every year and practically lived there. Unfortunately, it was torn down a few years ago. It seems that there was more money to be made using the land as a parking lot. Reply #21. Nov 15 09, 10:27 AM |

My faourite park is Sea World on the Gold Coast. It doesn't have the best roller coasters or rides but the shows are really entertaining and the displays, including the polar bears are great. I think that Ocean Park in Hong Kong has the best Aquarium and it also has interesting historical displays about Chinese history plus some really scary rides. Reply #23. Jan 04 10, 8:58 PM |

I have never been to the big amusement parks. When the kids were young we took them to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California and spent time there every summer. It was a lot of fun and the kids could ride the rides over and over without having to stand in line. There were different kinds of arcades, shops, and other things to see. When they got tired of the rides, they went down to the beach or walked around the town. Reply #24. Jan 04 10, 9:48 PM |

Battersea was probably the greatest when I was growing up - now we have Alton Towers, among others, which has fantastic rides but huge queues & not the same atmosphere! Reply #27. Jun 06 10, 2:53 AM |

I remember Battersea Pleasure Gardens as I think they were called. Thorpe Park is fairly close to me. so I'll plump for that. Reply #28. Jun 06 10, 4:59 AM |

I love all the Disney parks but Orlando is by far the best managed of the bunch. I could spend a month in those four parks and associated facilities without getting bored! Reply #29. Oct 12 10, 2:44 AM |

I really enojoyed cedar point as I am roller coaster obssesive. My favorite ride there eas probably the Maverick. I would love to go to Hershy Park some day. As for waterparks, the Schlitterbahn in New Brunsfield, Texas (sp?) is absolutley amzang. It is huge and the rides are great. I live in the Kansas City area and we have a new Schlitterbahn park but it has yet to live up to its name. However, Its growing and Im really excited for the boogie bahn opening this summer.
