I like UK crime shows: Silent Witness, Dalziel and Pascoe, Cracker, Waking the Dead, Wire in the Blood, Taggart etc. There was a US show that I thought was excellent when it started, Homicide: Life on the Streets. It was up there with the best British shows for the first few series. Then it went downhill and the last series was ridiculous. The film of the series was just dreadful. Reply #49. Ouch! Hard question for me, because cop/detective/mystery shows are my favourites. I never miss The Bill in UK, also New Tricks and I have all Morse and most of Frost on DVD. US, I was a huge fan of Hill Street Blues, Columbo and Murder She Wrote. I could go on and on. Got to mention Poirot and Miss Marple as well. I'm stopping now before I write and essay. Reply #52.
