I love all the "Star Wars" trilogy soundtracks, especially The Empire Strikes Back. Also Back to the Future, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Thin Red Line. Favorite scores from movies I don't like are Titanic and The Piano. My favorite scores from movies I haven't seen are Lady in the Water and Sherlock Holmes. Reply #64. Feb 08 13, 6:49 PM |

I especially liked Star Wars: Episode I (The Phantom Menace). John Williams does a great job with all his scores, but the one when Obi Wan fights Darth Maul is the best. Reply #67. Nov 06 13, 12:26 PM |

I find the score to "Schlindler's List" to be hauntingly beautiful. Also the score to "Gladiator." Reply #71. Dec 02 13, 9:29 AM |

I think I still like the score to the "Lord of the Rings" most of all, although I enjoy most of the soundtracks created by John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Out of the latest movies, I think the soundtrack to "Rush" was very good. Reply #72. Dec 02 13, 10:02 AM |

As a child of the '80s I will have to say that 'Footloose' is my favorite. I have a soft spot for 'Grease' as well. When I was a kid, my sister loaned out my 'Grease' album and her friend never returned it. :( I never let my sister forget it, so finally as an adult, my sister replaced my copy with a CD of it. I was pleased as punch. :) Reply #75. May 06 15, 11:17 AM |

Hmmmm... there are so many, and I'd have to go look at my CD collection. A great soundtrack always catches my attention, even if the movie does not. And if I love the soundtrack, I have to own it. Off the top of my head: O Brother, Where Art Thou? The Piano Out of Africa The Man From Snowy River Fast Times At Ridgemont High Chariots Of Fire Immortal Beloved Jesus Christ Superstar Boys On The Side Phantom Of The Opera The Commitments (I and II) Dying Young City of Angels Grease A Knight's Tale Michael Phenomenon She's The One (it's all Tom Petty) Saturday Night Fever (Come on! It's a disco classic!) Titanic Twister Twilight (and every other film from this 'saga') And then, there are the concert DVDs, but that's probably for another thread. Reply #80. Jul 25 15, 12:39 AM |
