Subject: Favorite film starring Clint Eastwood?

I'm stuck myself. I love both "Unforgiven" and "Outlaw Josey Wales." All of the spaghetti westerns, "Dirty Harry," "The Gauntlet," and "Play Misty for Me" are great too. I even really like his latest--"Gran Torino." Of course, there are many great films he has directed in which he has not appeared, but I'm trying to stick with those with him as an actor.

I like the "Dirty Harry" movies, but my vote goes to "High Plains Drifter".

Of the movies Clint has acted in, I would say hands down "Unforgiven". "Mystic River" is my favorite one that he directed, but did not star in.

Anything with Clyde in it :). I did enjoy The Eiger Sanction and Unforgiven though.

I can't believe nobody mentioned "Heartbreak Ridge"! I bought it last night at Walmart for $5 & have already watched it! One of his best!

My favourite Eastwood film is "Absolute Power". Tremendous cast of actors. Great story filled with suspense and some action. Ed Harris is surprisingly mild mannered and Gene Hackman just superb.

Besides that I will say "Unforgiven" and "Where Eagles Dare" are the next best.

I like Bridges of Madison County too. I saw him filming some of the Dirty Harry stuff in San Francisco.

Check him out in the 1955 film "Revenge of the Creature". The first sequel to "Creature from the Black Lagoon".

"Million Dollar Baby". Never expected that ending. It was so sad.

So many great Eastwood movies but "Unforgiven" edges out the rest for me.

"Deserve's got nothin' to do with it."

Clint was on TV too. One late night I was watching Highway Patrol, the old police show. Clint was on a motorcycle with a friend. They stopped in a small town at a restaurant. The owner got his gun because their town had been roughed up by a motorcycle gang and he assumed all motorcycle riders were in gangs. It was a great episode, and Clint was so young!
