I personally hated it. I went along hoping to see a good horror movie, but was bitterly disappointed. The first half was quite good and had jumps, but afterwards it felt like a satire. It was kind of hard to be creeped out when I and the rest of the cinema were all laughing out loud! Reply #2. Aug 14 11, 6:22 PM |

I've been looking forward to this movie for a while and it just came out on dvd in the uk so I bought it. I was expecting it to be really creepy but it wasn't. If the cast had been a bit stronger it might have worked. The actor who played the father was exceptionally weak and had no conviction. It was a good story though but nowhere near as scary as The Ring or The Ring Two. Reply #4. Sep 18 11, 5:22 AM |

It started out pretty scary but ended up getting stupid when the father ends up going into The Further to get his son. It went downhill after that! Reply #5. Oct 08 11, 12:53 AM |

I was hoping to be scared out of my wits, but the whole experience was a mixture of a few jumps here and there, bored, and laughing out loud at the hilarity of it all. Mostly I didn't find it scary at all, and I actually am very easily scared with horror movies. Very disappointed. Perhaps rewatching it without great expectations would help me to enjoy it, but I won't go out of my way to have that opportunity in the first place! Reply #6. Oct 17 11, 8:08 AM |

I thought it was great. I’m a huge horror movie buff and this was one of the better ones released this year. My sister is deathly afraid of demons/possessions so her fear spread to me a little. I wasn’t crazy about those odd people in the house in the Further, but I really enjoyed it. Reply #7. Oct 25 11, 9:00 PM |

Watched. Jumped (physically jumped!) from the start to the end. I've seen lots of horror films but never been startled as much. Maybe when I was younger I was less nervy! Reply #8. Dec 19 11, 6:18 PM |
