"Fantasia" was wonderful, two other of my favorites are "Dumbo" and "The Jungle Book", what can beat a flying elephant or a singing bear ... sometimes I still catch myself singing "Bare Necessities". ;-) Reply #1. Sep 08 11, 2:03 PM |

"Sleeping Beauty" and "The Sword in the Stone". I rotate through favorites so next month it could be "Aladdin" or "101 Dalmatians". Reply #2. Sep 08 11, 3:27 PM |

I like Beauty and the Beast because Belle is a smart and strong young woman. A good role model, I think. I also like Cinderella because her life s-u-c-k-s at first, but she gets her happy ending. Reply #5. Sep 11 11, 3:05 PM |

My favorites are Aladdin and the Emperor's New Groove. I can appreciate Bambi, Lion King, and Beauty & the Beast as greater films, but my favorites are the ones I enjoy watching the most . Reply #9. Apr 30 12, 9:07 AM |

I really do like both Fantasia movies, but I like Fantasia 2000 better. I also like The Lion King, The Princess and the Frog, and Alice in Wonderland. Reply #10. Jul 01 14, 10:45 PM |

I'd say Bambi but I was required to accompany my sister (seven years younger than me). This was the second time I saw it and so knew what to expect. She, on the other hand, was scared crapless and cried through most of it. So I'll pick Lady and the Tramp instead. Loved the spaghetti scene. Loved Peggy Lee. Not much to dislike about that one. Not fond of the newer ones really. With the possible exception of Robin Williams as a genie, there's a certain "sparkle" to the old ones that died when Walt and his brother did. Reply #14. I've always loved The Lion King and Sleeping Beauty. I've slowly come to love Fantasia, but I never saw the whole thing as a kid because the Sorcerer's Apprentice scene scared me so much I turned the tape off and wouldn't watch any more. Other favorites are The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, The Emperor's New Groove, and The Rescuers Down Under (that last one mainly because Joanna and McLeach are so entertaining).
