I heard on the radio at work last week that he's supposed to be starting up another show but this one will be shown at night. I don't know if this is true or not, though! Reply #1. Dec 05 11, 1:29 PM |

I would be happy to see Regis back. He's very funny, especially when telling stories about himself. {It was ABC, not CBS} Reply #2. Dec 05 11, 1:52 PM |

Regis is one of the best entertainers and hosts in show business. I don't think you can replace him. I've read in some not so legit magazines that he was ousted by ABC because he was too old. I don't know if that's true but if it is I hope he comes back big on a rival network. Reply #3. Dec 05 11, 2:25 PM |

That's odd, Postcards.....I've been watching Regis & Kelly LIVE on CBS for years. Hm-m-m-m-m! Anyway, the story of Regis being ousted because he was too old is true. They didn't can him, but gave him such a hefty cut in pay that Regis HAD to quit. He has indeed been talking about a rival talk show. Can't wait....it oughta be hilarious! Reply #4. So.....is anyone still watching "Live with Kelly Ripa...and What's His Name This Week"? It's STILL on CBS, btw. I checked it out (because the gentlemen I'm a caregiver for loved looking at the Hawaiian palm trees, even though we have nice coconut palms right outside the window here in FL). So, here's the production this week, shot on beautiful Oahu with one sexy co-host after another, & gorgeous celebrity guests. NOTHING to even suggest I should be chuckling. Couldn't have been more boring. CBS....you really DO need to inject some serious humor and onscreen chemistry into this show, or it's going to die a natural death....in the not-too-distant future. In NY it's STILL on ABC :-D I still enjoy Kelly when it's live, but I don't like the taped shows. I also enjoy some of her co-hosts. Just the chat part, though. I have no interest in yet another celebrity advertising whatever book/movie/show/etc. Reply #6. Feb 22 12, 6:06 PM |

Ahhhh....so THAT'S how the confusion of which network airs "Live" was brought about! It airs on different networks in different parts of the country. I didn't know that! Granted, Kelly has had some decent co-hosts, but I still miss the humorous repartee that Regis provided. The show just isn't the same. What's with the taped shows, anyway? The name of the program is "Live with Kelly". H-m-m-m-m-m. Reply #7. Feb 23 12, 5:32 PM |

I miss Regis, but I don't think he was ousted for ANY reason. H's 80 years old (or so) and he's tired. If he wants to accept an offer for a show, he can, but not daily. He has been on a couple of programs as a guest, and seems happy. I still watch Kelly. I am mostly interested in who will be on. My favorite co-host is Jerry O'Connel(sp). I also like her husband, Mark. I wish Regis all the best, in whatever he wants to do...Poor Joy is kind of stuck! ;) Reply #8. Feb 23 12, 10:11 PM |

The network didn't FIRE Regis, Veronikka. But they gave him such as substantial pay cut in his next contract that, as a matter of principle, Regis felt he was being pushed out. This is probably the best thing that could have happened for Joy, and everyone else.....but Reege could've 'saved face' if his departure from "Live" had been handled differently, ie, more respect from the network, I agree....a weekly show with Regis AND Joy would be GREAT! He was also a great host for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Reply #10. Mar 09 12, 10:03 AM |
