Which movies come to mind when you think of great natural settings and locations? Check out " Dersu Uzala " from 1975 if you get a chance. (If you're from the frozen north " Lawrence Of Arabia " might be a better fit)

1992's 'A Midnight Clear' had some beautiful settings in a film about a squad of american soldiers who meet a german squad prior to the onset of the Battle of the Bulge.

Off the top of my head:

The city of Oxford and the Golden Valley in 'Shadowlands'.

Monument Valley, where John Huston filmed some of his great westerns (especially 'The Searchers', 'She Wore a Yellow Ribbon', ;Fort Apache' and 'Stagecoach').

The Canadian Arctic, setting for 'Atarnajuat' ('The Fast Runner').

Lord of the Rings, the beacon-lighting sequence. I imagine the New Zealand tourism industry gained a lot of money from that sequence alone...
