I sat and thought about this with The Big Bang Theory playing on my tv. I just can't do it. I love them all. Great characters all combining to make a great series. Reply #1. May 01 12, 8:50 PM |

I agree, i think it succeeds because of its' ensemble cast. You take one person out of this show and it would fall apart. That said though, Sheldons' character is what sets this sitcom above the pack, without him it would just be an average show. I love it too. Reply #2. May 01 12, 9:16 PM |

It's a brilliant show and all the main characters have a likeable side (at least from as distance). However, lately the scenes that make me laugh most are the ones with Amy in them. Reply #3. May 02 12, 4:15 AM |

I agree about the Amy character. She made the show a lot more interesting. Reply #4. May 11 12, 11:50 AM |

Sheldon is certainly the funniest character in the show. Reply #7. May 26 12, 9:20 AM |

timence, have you watched it? If you have, and don't like it, it's simply that it doesn't appeal to your sense of humour. As I said in my previous posts, the characters are likeable, or at least all have a likeable side to them. There are some great recurring characters and Howard's unseen mother is, in my opinion, one of the great comedy creations of all time. The writing is great as well. Reply #8. May 26 12, 11:54 AM |

Supersal: yes indeed I have watched it. Have tried several episodes. I just don't get it. I mean, I understand it, but just don't find it very funny at all. IMHO the writing isn't very clever, and the characters just annoy me. Each to their own I suppose...you must be right, just not my thing. Reply #9. May 27 12, 6:34 AM |

It's another Seinfeld, Jewish humour so if Jewish you will get it even more so. Sheldon of course is not, but neither was Kramer, but the script is the factor which covers all the characters. I think for the bodily function remarks alone my favourite character is the rarely seen but highly significant when she is, Leonard's mother. "I have to urinate", absolute classic. Sheldon's girlfriend is a close second, of course based on that character as he instantly clicked with her when she visited them for the first time. Reply #11. Jun 08 12, 9:10 AM |

Penny. She's pretty. I think we could have predicted that Sheldon would be the favorite, without a doubt. Reply #16. Oct 18 12, 5:45 PM |
