The Thing, Halloween, The Fog,(John carpenter at his best). I would say the Exorcist, if it wasn't the only movie that truly disturbs me! Reply #41. Aug 03 14, 4:23 PM |

Rosemary's Baby - What a creepy film! It still holds up today, thanks mainly to the wonderful direction by Roman Polanski. Reply #42. Aug 03 14, 10:00 PM |

I've never been a big Horror fan, but I must admit that I love the classic Universal Horrors of the 1930s - Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride Of Frankenstein, The Old Dark House, The Wolf Man and my favourite, The Mummy. Also, the series of horror films that Val Lewton produced for RKO in the 1940s - The Cat People, Curse Of The Cat People, The Body Snatcher, Isle Of The Dead, Bedlam and I Walked With A Zombie. Tame, I guess, by today's over the top bloodbaths, but good fun. Reply #48. Jul 24 15, 9:06 PM |

I was going to post that I avoid horror films, but going through the list of replies, it seems I've seen far more of them than I would have thought. I was also going to say that my favorite was 1982's The Thing, but now that I have read the replies, I realize the only horror film I own on tape or DVD, and re-watch regularly, is Bride of Frankenstein, so I guess that makes it my favorite. I also liked Invasion of the Body Snatchers, which no one seems to have mentioned yet. Reply #50. Oct 14 15, 9:35 PM |

my husband doesn't let me watch horror movies anymore because, apparently (I wouldn't know) I have horrible nightmares afterwards that involve kicking and hitting him. Reply #52. Nov 03 15, 10:09 PM |
