This is the first time in a while there hasn't been 1 or 2 clear-cut favorites. It seems like Argo, Django Unchained, Life of Pi, Lincoln, and Zero Dark Thirty all have realistic chances. IMHO, Argo and Lincoln were above average at best (Lincoln was very disappointing, but Day-Lewis should win Best Actor), and I haven't seen Life of Pi.

If I'm picking, Django wins - but I have a feeling for some reason that Argo will win.

Best picture should go to Les Miserables but wont due to anti musical brigade so will go to Lincoln.

Best actor is Daniel Day Lewis award having seen all the movies up for best actor i would like to see Hugh Jackman win.

Best supporting actress should go to Anne Hathaway

And best supporting actor Christoph Waltz

My predictions

Best picture will go to Argo. My favorite was Django Unchained.

Best actor is a lock for Daniel Day-Lewis. Joaquin Phoenix was amazing in The Master, but it will be Oscar number three for DDL.

Best actress goes to Jennifer Lawerence.

Best supporting actor is wide open with all five past winners. In an upset, Philip Seymour Hoffman wins.

Best supporting actress will be Sally Field for her third Oscar.

Best Director goes to Steven Spielberg.

And the screenplay awards go to Quentin Tarantino and Tony Kushner.

Best actress has to go to Naomi Watts in the Impossible, a tremendous and powerful film i highly recommend this film is a powerful true story. If naomi does not win the Oscar then it proves once and for all the oscars are a farce and are rigged.

Well, well, well! Pleasantly surprised this morning to find out that Argo, which I thought was a magnificently put together film, won the Best picture Academy Award!

I enjoyed it so much that I saw it twice.

Daniel Day-Lewis's speak was great--funny and classy. He made a great one after Heath Ledger died about leaving his family to mourn in peace.

Well, now he has the record for most Best Actor wins. (Katharine Hepburn has the record for most Best Actress wins at four).

On October 26, 2013 I predict Robert Redford will win Best Actor in 2014 for the cheerfully-named "All is Lost."
