Same here, I love the old time MGM Musicals and most of the older films. For one thing they had a story, there was not much blood and guts like some of the modern stuff. Obviously if you'll admit to it on here, then it doesn't qualify. However, if we rephrase it to "What's your favorite bad/cheesy movie you won't tell your friends you like?" then it becomes a little more manageable. 99% of the movies I like tend to have 3 or 4 star ratings, and a lot of 3 star movies don't even make the cut for me. But I do have one 1 star movie I like, and one 2 star... Yellowbeard is a pirate movie with most of the Monty Python troupe, trashed in every review I've ever seen, but I think it's great. Stormy Weather is a black & white performance movie featuring black singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, and actors that usually gets low but not bad reviews that I could watch over and over. I do fast-forward through the ballet sequence, but that's the only bad spot in an otherwise great movie, in my opinion. Reply #17. Jan 25 14, 12:24 PM |
