What's your secret cheesy/bad/daft film that you love but won't admit to?

I'm a sucker for MGM Musicals and adore 7 Brides for 7 Brothers

Same here, I love the old time MGM Musicals and most of the older films. For one thing they had a story, there was not much blood and guts like some of the modern stuff. Frankly a lot of films today, you don't know what they are doing (and neither do they) and when it is all over you are left wondering what the point was.

"The Other Side of Midnight," which is saved by Susan Sarandon, Clu Gulager(yes, THAT Clu Gulager!), and Raf Vallone).

I love Ross Hunter and Douglas Sirk films, many of which are quite good, actually.

You're all cheating because those -- mostly -- are actually good movies and no sort of secret confession at all!

Let's get real!

Maid in Manhattan.

(Leaves funtrivia in shame....)

Hahaha....Sisterseagull.....I watched Sharknado too! It was beyond belief dumb, but I watched the whole thing! Sadly, I'll watch those cheesy SYFY channel movies, especially if they have dinosaurs! Nothing beats a dino movie!

The 1970s version of "Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory". Have loved that one since childhood. I always watched it each time it was shown on tv & I recently bought it on dvd!

The Notebook. It's about as cheesy as all the other Nicholas Sparks adaptations but I enjoyed (and repeatedly enjoy from time to time) it a lot, probably because the actors are very good.

Sucker Punch. Geared toward men but it's a guilty pleasure of mine.

I liked Sucker Punch too. I am one of the men it was geared for evidently.

Obviously if you'll admit to it on here, then it doesn't qualify. However, if we rephrase it to "What's your favorite bad/cheesy movie you won't tell your friends you like?" then it becomes a little more manageable. 99% of the movies I like tend to have 3 or 4 star ratings, and a lot of 3 star movies don't even make the cut for me. But I do have one 1 star movie I like, and one 2 star... Yellowbeard is a pirate movie with most of the Monty Python troupe, trashed in every review I've ever seen, but I think it's great. Stormy Weather is a black & white performance movie featuring black singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, and actors that usually gets low but not bad reviews that I could watch over and over. I do fast-forward through the ballet sequence, but that's the only bad spot in an otherwise great movie, in my opinion.

I like "Xanadu" but have never told anyone until now. It's because of a couple of the songs, ELO, and Olivia Newton-John that I'm able to watch it. I haven't seen it in years but will probably watch it if it ever returns to television.
