Yes it is sad news. She was around a long time, living as privately as possible which was a great accomplishment given her early life. She managed to grow away from all that and contribute a great deal to others while remaining a very down-to-earth woman. It's sad that Shirley Temple has passed away. My mum always said she was a wee darlin' and was very like her wee sister who died of scarlet fever when she was three. I think it is sad that FT members did not respond to this thread more. Too bad that a lot of them thought the post-digestive habits of bears was more interesting. Shows the mentality of some people.
