Anyone else disgusted by how little battling is being shown this year? One HOUR tonight and they showed TWO battles, one of which was over in 45 seconds! What a waste of time!

EEEE!! Others who watch Battlebots! I remember, I think it was the Game Show Network used to show episodes and I LOVED it. I was so excited when they brought it back. It's cool sometimes seeing how bots that look unbeatable can actually, well, be beaten! I admit the amount of actual fighting is so ridiculous. They spend so much time... talking talking talking. They talk about the bots. They discuss their stats. It shows their creators. They talk about their journey. They wheel their bots in. They introduce them. They are put into the ring. They ask "Is team ___ ready?" and the person pushes their button. They have a countdown. Finally, we get a fight that, if we're lucky, lasts the entire THREE minutes. I hate that they show us what happened in other fights. It's like, why not cut out the fanfare and actually show us the fight? Reply #3. Aug 20 16, 7:39 AM |

I was surprised when Bombshell made it to the finals. I wish the final battle had been better; Bombshell seemed to outsmart itself by changing its bot so many times. I really don't see how having drones "helping" the smaller bots adds anything. You design your bot to win. If you think size is a factor then build a bigger bot, although I have seen many small bots defeat much bigger opponents simply because they had a better design. Haha, those drones were pretty darn worthless. Remember that one bot actually added a flyswatter-like device? It knocked a drone right out of the air. Maybe their should be a separate competition for drones, because they're out of place in the battle bot cage. Reply #9. Oct 03 16, 1:39 PM |
