Answer: Atlanta A and T

The Atlanta A and T Panthers are a made up team, but have the colors blue and gold. In a brief moment before the halftime performance, it is stated that the marching band is considered more important than the actual football team. We are first introduced to the college as Devon attends a band training session, right before the school year starts.

Devon was auditioning the day after he got his head shaved and while the others waited for their turn, Jason asked Charles about his socks. Charles had on socks with stripes running across them that were up to his knees. Charles just responded with, "Don't worry about my socks man, it's a tuba thang shorty."

Devon plays snare throughout the whole movie.

We see Devon go give him an invitation to his graduation, minutes after the ceremony concludes. Afterward, he decides to go visit his dad at the subway and tell him that he decided against inviting him. Devon mentions that he was visiting the subway frequently and going back and forth, mentally, about whether or not to invite his dad, ultimately deciding not to.

Sean then tried to explain to him the pressure one felt when performing in front of a group of people but Devon just replied with, "It must be worse for someone with a whacked solo." He said this because he believed that Sean didn't play the solo very well and so he should play it instead.

From day one, the band members are introduced to Dr. Lee's concept, "one band, one sound." The band's unity could be seen at the end of the movie as they anticipate Dr. Lee asking what the concept is and yell "one band, one sound".

Devon liked Laila so he went up to the counter when she ordered food and paid. However he also told the cashier to keep the change and so Laila called him a big spender. The important aspect of this event was that they went to the party together afterward and established a relationship.
