Iris was in love with Jasper Bloom for three years, and he had failed to acknowledge her. Finally when he did and got her hopes up, she found out he was getting married.

Miles said this when he was playing Iris' "Theme Song" for her on the piano. Miles said, "Iris, if you were a melody." He then played the piano for a few moments, then said "I used only the good notes."

Olivia, his other daughter has brown hair. Sophie is the oldest of Graham's two daughters, and is quite protective of her father. The part of Sophie is played by Miffy Englefield.

Graham always knew he wanted to be a book editor. In the scene where he and Amanda go out for lunch, he reveals that his father is a writer of historical fiction, and his mother is a very important editor at Random House.

Graham's daughters, Sophie and Olivia are absolutely delighted to have an adult female visitor in the house, and instruct their father to do first one thing, then another for Amanda. Sophie tells Graham to take Amanda's coat, and when he does, the girls see that Amanda is beautifully dressed. Olivia is so awed, she makes the comment that Amanda looks just like her Barbie. It is, of course, intended to be the supreme compliment.

Miles comes in at the last minute, just as Arthur is ascending the stage. Iris has been sure he wasn't going to be there and is overjoyed when, not only does he make it, but he lets her know things are over between himself and Maggie.

He tells her they are so very different, that he is "Daddy" and, as much as he loves his girls, he simply has to get away from it all sometimes.
