Hyde also starred in this movie as Van Pelt. There was one scene when Carl told Van Pelt to freeze but Van Pelt shot at him. Midway through the movie, Judy, Peter and Sarah went to a store in town to retrieve the board game since Van Pelt stole it from them and they realized he was there. Sarah went to grab for the board game but Van Pelt surprised her and was about to shoot her but Judy and Peter came to Sarah's aid. While Alan drove Carl's police car, he realized the brake fluid ran out so he crashed into the store and this led to a shelf of paint cans falling on Van Pelt. Hyde had guest starring stints on the TV shows, "A Touch of Frost", "Chancer" and "Thomas and Sarah".

The director is no other than Joe Johnston! Johnston has directed many other famous movies including, "Jurassic Park III" and "Hidalgo". Joe Johnston has also won many prestigious awards including an Oscar for Best Visual Effects for his work in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Peter is very smart and sets booby traps for Van Pelt to slow him down in Sir Sav A Lot. He drags a boat across the store that has apparently been advertising canoes, and the mannequin inside it is wearing a purple lifejacket.

As far as movie info goes, Peter finds the woodshed locked, picks up an ax that is lying nearby, begins to chop the lock off and realizes he is holding the very same ax he was sent to get. After a glance at the camera, he runs back inside.

When the house splits open, Sarah refuses to let go of Alan, who is falling through the floor, and the game falls instead.

Van Pelt tells him he is finally beginning to act like a man. He then raises the gun to shoot and Sarah jumps in front of Alan to save him. Luckily, Alan has already called out "Jumanji" and the bullet is the first thing to get sucked back into the board game.
