This was said when Sam went to the airport and met with his crew. Sam was surprised to see General Ford there, and Casey said, 'he hasn't been up this early since Nixon was in office'. In this scene, too, we first meet Major Salt, who replaced Jaffe.

After getting the much needed pictures of Betsy, Sam and Salt fly to San Jose, CA, and enter the KAEF-TV station, brandishing guns. They burst into the news room, where the news is being broadcast live. Minutes before they entered, their pictures were shown on television as two people who escaped Cedar Creek and are infected with the virus. Sam tells the country, more importantly California, where to call if they see the host animal. He holds up a picture of Betsy, and underneath is the CDC's phone number for people to call. Sam also tells everyone that he and Salt are not infected with the virus.

Answer: Toxic Shock

Rudy was in major shock after he passed out in the pet shop, and fell on a wall of fish tanks. The emergency room doctor said that the symptoms looked like toxic shock. He ordered a full round of blood tests to see what was causing the symptoms.

Answer: 'You got up this morning, didn't you'?

Sam and General Ford, who is also called Billy, are friends for 20 years. Sam asked Billy this when Billy said he wants Sam to return safely, even though he makes his life miserable.

At the same time that Sam is broadcasting Betsy's picture, Mrs. Jeffries overhears the description of the host animal. She glances to the picture of Betsy that her daughter, Katie, drew. She then glanced out to the back yard and saw Katie, with a plate of sliced apples, walking into the forest. She screams Katie's name. Then we see Sam writing the name and address of the Jeffries down on paper.

Answer: Rudy's blood sample explodes in his face

Henry Sernard, the laboratory technician, was too busy listening to the ball game on the radio. He wasn't paying attention to the blood machine, and when he put his hands in it to take the blood sample, Rudy's sample exploded in his face. He immediately washed it off, and asked the doctor if he should be checked for HIV or Hepatitis, because he didn't want his girlfriend to catch anything.

Answer: Sliced apples

Sam and Salt arrive at the Jeffries to get Betsy and to bring her to Cedar Creek. Katie is worried that they will harm Betsy, but Sam assures her that they will not hurt Betsy. Sam tells Katie that if he hurts Betsy that she can punch him on the nose. He tells Katie that Betsy is a very special animal, and that she has something special inside her. Katie agrees to help Sam. She walks out to the log that is in her back yard with a plate of sliced apples, and begins to call Betsy's name. Soon after, Betsy appears.

The doctors had Jimbo and Alice in ICU, because they never saw anything like it. The hospital contacted the CDC and Robbie went to the hospital to see the virus for herself. While she's there, Jimbo passes away. Robbie orders an autopsy, and only one doctor agrees to do it. When the time came, however, Robbie performed the autopsy while the doctor assisted her. Afterwards, she calls Sam and tells him what she just saw. She said that Alice died while she was performing the autopsy on Jimbo, she also said that Jimbo's organs were liquified.

Poor Betsy! She's with her family in the trees, and she climbs down onto the ground and gets caught by a net that was hidden in the leaves.

We hear General Ford telling the two pilots of the aircraft that their job won't be easy, but that it's necessary. Then we hear the pilots saying 'Sandman, out'. This name is heard several times in reference to the aircraft.

Henry is really sick. As he's coughing, we see the virus, magnified, floating into people's mouths as they laugh. This is the moment when the virus becomes airborn.

Billy says this to Sam as he is berating him for crashing the party. The reason Sam crashed the party was because he wanted to tell Billy about the deadly virus, but Billy says that the virus is working in their favor because it kills fast.

As Betsy climbs on the log, Katie accidentally moves in front of her, blocking Salt's sight. Salt moves from behind the bush and stumbles on a rock. With that, Betsy looks up and makes a noise, something like a cry. Salt uses this opportunity to dart Betsy in her right hind leg.

Poor Betsy! She's far from Africa and nothing looks familiar. She tries to eat a pinecone, then looks at it in disgust and tosses it to the ground.

Billy told Sam that he smelled like dirty socks. When Sam demanded that Billy put an alert out for the virus because, according to Sam, the virus is coming to America, Billy said, 'What about Lassa in '89?', and Sam said, 'I was wrong'. Then Billy said, 'What about Hanta in '94?', and Sam said, 'I was wrong'. Then Billy said, 'But you're right about this?', and Sam said, 'No, I could be wrong'.

After Betsy is darted and bagged, Sam calls General Ford and tells him that they found the host animal. Ford tells Sam to hurry back and return safely. He then tells Sam that they may find resistance on the way back, to which Sam remarks, 'resistance? That's going to make it a little difficult to get back safely'.

This antidote only works on the original virus, not the airborn mutation of it.

We see Betsy, in a small cage, on the Tae Kuk Seattle, being fed by one of the men. He is giving her pieces of bananas, and she is taking it from his hand.

General McClintock orders Sam and Salt to follow him to Travis Airforce Base, but Sam tells him that no one is sick there. McClintock doesn't want to hear that, and Sam tells him that they found the host animal. But all McClintock wants is for Sam to follow him to the Airforce base. Sam then has no choice but to curse McClintock out.

Ford tells McClintock that they can throw the people of Cedar Creek a life line with E-1101, but McClintock adamently refuses.

Robbie's job at the CDC is exactly what her soon-to-be ex husband's job is in the Army.

McClintock orders his pilot to fire at Sam's and Salt's loach. He uses the command 'go weapons hot'. Viper 1 starts chasing the loach, and both aircraft are circling each other in the sky. Viper 1 is shooting at the loach to bring it down, as per General McClintock.

The patient was far away from the Motaba victims to have caught it. That is until Sam looks and notices an airvent. It is in this seen that Sam says, 'it's airborn'.

As Casey is taping Sam's gloves so nothing gets into the suit, he discovers a small tear in the left forearm. Casey takes a piece of duct tape and covers it. Sam says, 'That was scary'.

Viper 1 is soon joined by Viper 2, but neither can catch the loach. The loach makes an about face and lures Viper 1 and Viper 2 right at each other. They miss crashing by inches.
