1. Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee, the creator of "Jeet Kune do" was born as "Lee Jun Fan" on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco. His parents went to San Francisco in December 1939, as his father, who was a renowned Cantonese opera artist, went there to participate in an international opera show. They returned to Hong Kong in 1941, where he spent most of his teenage years.

When he was about 13 years old, he started martial art training under Wing Chun master, Ip Man aka Yip Man. At the age of 18, he returned to U.S. with very little money in his pocket. About one year later, he set up his first martial art school in Seattle and also created his own style of martial art.

In the U.S, he made some TV series appearances including playing Kato in "Green Hornet" in 1966. In the early 1970s, he retuned to Hong Kong at the invitation of the local film makers. From 1971 to 1973, he played a lead role in five films which created several box office records in Asia. He died mysteriously (at the time) at age 32 before finishing his last film "Game of Death".
2. Keanu Reeves

She is known for her role as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), "Wonder Woman" (2017), "Justice League" (2017) and "Wonder Woman 1984" (2020).
4. Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh was born in Ipoh, the capital city of Malaysian state, Perak, on 6 August 1962). In the 1990s, she appeared mainly in action films made in Hong Kong.

In 1997, she made her first appearance in a Hollywood film in the "James Bond" film "Tomorrow Never Dies". She then played a major role in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000), and portrayed Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi in "The Lady" (2011).

In 2022, she won the Oscar Award for Best Actress in "Everything, Everywhere All at Once", the first Asian to win this award.
5. Chin Han

Chin Han was born in Singapore, on 27 November 1969, as Ng Chin Han (Huang Chin Han in Chinese pinyin). He is one of Singapore's most high-profile actors in Hollywood.

In 1994, he starred in Singapore's first ever English drama series "Masters of the Sea". In 1998, he made his debut in a Hollywood film "Blindness". He then appeared in several action films: "Dark Knight" (2008), "Independence Day: Resurgence" (2016), "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" (2014) and "Mortal Kombat" (2021).
6. Famke Janssen

She was born on 5 November 1964 in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. After moving to the U.S. in 1984, she made her acting debut in "Fathers & Sons" alongside Jeff Goldblum. In 1995, she landed a role in the "James Bond" film "Goldeneye". She is known for her role as Jane Grey/Phoenix in "X-Men" film series in 2000, 2002 and 2006.

She was spotted by Jackie Chan who saw her potential in action films. From 2000 to 2005, she got minor roles in a few Hong Kong films. In 2006, she made her Hollywood film debut, featuring in "Mission: Impossible III" as Zhen. She is known for her role as Tori Wu in "Divergent" film series in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
9. Simu Liu

He was born in Harbin on 19 April 1989. His parents met at the University of Beijing, where they both studied engineering. Until the age of 5, he was raised by his grandparents in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, north-east China. His family finally emigrated to Mississauga, Ontario where both his parents worked as aerospace engineers.

His acting career started in the 2010s, where he played minor roles on TV shows. His big break came in 2021, where he played the lead role in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings".
10. Donnie Yen

He was born on 27 July 1963 in Guangzhou. His mother is a martial art expert. His family moved to Hong Kong when he was 2, and then to Boston when he was 11.

From the 1980s to 1990s, he appeared in many Kungfu and action films made in Hong Kong. In 2003, he made his first appearance in a Hollywood film "Shanghai Knights" alongside Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson. He is renowned for playing the of "Ip Man" aka "Yip Man" (Bruce Lee's Kungfu master), a 4-part film series in 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2019.
