Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Dave Bautista's full name?

Answer: David Michael Bautista Jr.

He was born David Michael Bautista Jr. on January 18th, 1969. He hails from Washington D.C. His mother is of Greek origin, while his father has Filipino ancestry.
2. In his younger days Bautista attempted to pursue career as a baseball player, inspired by his father's experience as a baseball coach.

Answer: False

Dave never trained for baseball. His father wasn't a coach either, but instead worked as a hairdresser. Before becoming a wrestling superstar, Bautista worked as a nightclub bouncer and lifeguard, to name a couple of jobs. Nevertheless, he is indeed a baseball fan and supports the New York Yankees, as well as the Washington Nationals.
3. What was the name of the wrestling stable, of which Bautista was a prominent member?

Answer: Evolution

Founded in 2003, the stable consisted of Triple H, Dave Bautista, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. One of the reasons for their disbandment was Dave's decision to pursue the World Heavyweight title, challenging Triple H for it (and then winning and successfully defending the belt). In the process of the stable's breakup each member faced one another at least once.
4. The 2007 edition of the annual Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday, professional wrestling, pay-per-view event saw Bautista defending the World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker. How did the match end?

Answer: Bautista won via pinfall.

Bautista (who in his wrestling days was also referred to as Batista) delivered a Batista bomb to The Undertaker, but the latter managed to kick out. A second Batista bomb followed and this time the champion emerged victorious. An interesting fact is that Stone Cold Steve Austin served as a special guest referee for this match.
5. Despite his other career achievements, Bautista has NEVER won the Royal Rumble tournament.

Answer: False

He has emerged victorious twice, in fact. He eliminated six people in the 2005 edition of the Royal Rumble, finally prevailing against John Cena to win the tournament. His second triumph came nine years later, when he eliminated four other men, the last of which was Roman Reigns.
6. In 2005 "Pro Wrestling Illustrated" included Bautista in their top 500 singles wrestlers list. What was his position in their ranking?

Answer: 1st

The award came rather logically, given his achievements in 2005. This same year brought Bautista the Feud of the Year award of "Wrestling Observer Newsletter" for his rivalry with Triple H, as well as two more recognitions from "Pro Wrestling Illustrated" - the award for Most Improved Wrestler of the Year and the one for Wrestler of the Year.
7. What kind of a building do the characters of Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Dave Bautista rob in the 2015 action thriller "Heist"?

Answer: casino

In the movie Luke Vaughn (played by Morgan) asks his employer, casino owner Francis Silva (Robert DeNiro), for a $300,000 loan, which he needs in order to pay for the surgery of his sick daughter. Silva, nicknamed The Pope, refuses his plea and then asks his right-hand man Derrick Prince to beat Vaughn.

As a result, Luke, who knows the codes for the casino's vault, joins the efforts of security guard Jason Cox (Bautista) in robbing their boss.
8. What is the name of the film, in which the characters of Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow join forces, in order to save both of their family members and oppose the heavily armed militia, which has attacked their home city?

Answer: Bushwick

"Bushwick" shows the formation of an alliance between a young graduate student (portrayed by Snow) and a former United States Navy Hospital Corpsman (played by Bautista). The incorrect options of this question are also movies starring Bautista, but Brittany Snow does NOT appear in any of them.
9. Dave Bautista has appeared in numerous television series. Which of these is NOT one of them?

Answer: The Big Bang Theory

He played a character named Aldar in a 2006 episode of "Smallville" entitled "Static". He starred as himself in a 2009 episode of "Head Case". Bautista also performed the role of Garrett in the 2019 episode of "What We Do In The Shadows" entitled "The Trial". "The Big Bang Theory" is a sitcom, that aired for twelve seasons between 2007 and 2019.

It was filmed in front of a live audience and produced by Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The main roles in it are played by Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, and (from season 4 onwards) Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik. Bautista never appeared in it.
10. Bautista also has his political views. In an ad in support of whose presidential campaign did he appear in 2020?

Answer: Joe Biden

He expressed his support for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries. He then appeared in the above-mentioned ad, supporting Biden's campaign (when opposed to Trump).
