For eleven episodes in 1998, Patrick played David Puddy, an auto mechanic turned car salesman who dated Elaine in season six of "Seinfeld". David appeared in the final episode of "Seinfeld" to tell Elaine that he wouldn't wait around for her while she and the others went to prison.
