Gulf is Sew Confusing Trivia Quiz
Sounds Like the Wrong Words!
Some words are trickier than others, and it's because some English words sound the same but are spelled differently. We're off to play some golf. Don't worry if you've never played. I'm going to get you to keep score by picking the correct words!
Away we go on our trip to the golf course! We have our clubs, our cleats, and our golf cart ready to go. What we need to do first is head the first , put our ball down, and swing as hard as we can in the right direction. With skilled aim, we might get lucky enough to land close to the green. Of course, we can't forget to yell !
A game of golf can take a long time, especially if you're a player learning how to swing. Just relax! Even if you're not good on your first round, you might do better you think. Once you get the hang of it, you can try to go a better score. Remember: you want a lower score. The fewer shots you make, the better you're doing.
Once you're able to putt the ball into the first hole, you can move on and start hole , and then ride off to three and and so on. You might be surprised at how fast the game can go once you get into it. Maybe it'll turn out that you're better than you you were.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
Homophones are words that sound the same, but which may be spelled differently, so they can be quite confusing to sort out. In this quiz there are six sets of homophones.
To/Two/Too - The simplest, 'to', is used in this story as a direction. You're going 'to' the first tee. 'Two' refers to the number-- one more than one. 'Too' means 'as well'. In this story, you might not think you're 'too good'.
For/Four/Fore - 'For' is a word that means that something belongs to another or that it's related to it. If a golf ball is 'for' someone, it goes to them. 'Four' is a number (two more than two!). 'Fore' is a word that golfers yell when they're about to hit the ball. Perfect for this story!
Tea/Tee - 'Tea' is a drink, iced or hot, that you can drink with people after a game of golf if you so choose. A 'tee', meanwhile, is a small stick that you plant into the ground to rest your golf ball on. Again, it's perfect for the game.
Weather/Whether - The 'weather' is what's going on outside; it can be sunny, rainy, or cloudy. If the weather is good, it's all the better for golf. 'Whether', meanwhile, is a word used to set up a comparison, and it often comes before 'or' in a sentence.
Then/Than - 'Then' is about time. Think about the phrase 'now and then'; 'now' is right this minute while 'then' is at another time. 'Than', however, is a word about comparison. Something can be more than or less than something else.
New/Knew - If something is 'new', it is the opposite of something old. The word 'knew', however, is the past tense of the word 'know', which means 'understand'. If you know how to play golf, then you can understand how to play.
Out on the course, maybe you won't need to think so much about which word is which. Save your thoughts for your shots, pick the proper clubs, and have fun!
