Answer: Springer Spaniel

Millie was named after Barbara Bush's friend Mildred Caldwell Kerr. Millie was the author of record for "Millie's Book: As Dictated to Barbara Bush". You can see a picture of Millie in Mrs Bush's official White House Portrait. Millie died in 1997.
2. Which one of the universities does NOT have a bulldog as the team mascot?

Answer: Princeton University

Established in 1746 as the College of New Jersey, the name was changed to Princeton University in 1896. Princeton is a private school and one of eight Ivy League universities. The orange and black claim the tiger as their mascot.
3. Which rock band included the song "Sick as a Dog" on its 1976 album "Rocks"?

Answer: Aerosmith

Steven Tyler and Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith co-wrote the song "Sick as a Dog". It supposedly is about Tyler meeting Mick Jagger for the first time. "Rocks" was Aerosmith's fourth album, following the classic smash success "Toys in the Attic".

"Marmaduke" was created in 1954 by Brad Anderson. It's a Sunday newspaper comic strip featuring a great dane and his family. The Winslows consisted of Phil, Dottie, Barbara, Billy and of course Marmaduke.

Answer: Tiger

Tiger was the Brady boys' pet that started with the show's pilot episode. The dog that played Tiger was killed early in the first season. Finding a replacement was difficult so the producers decided the dog would only appear when the plot called for him. He was only in the first two out of the five seasons the show was in production.

It is difficult to pinpoint the dates of origins of the nursery rhymes but they are thought to have originated in the mid-1600s to 1700s. L Frank Baum, author known for "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", wrote a collection of stories in the late 1890s based on Mother Goose nursery rhymes included was "The Cat and the Fiddle".

The cat played the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon."
9. Which former Los Angeles Dodger pitcher was nicknamed "Bulldog" by Tommy Lasorda?

Answer: Orel Hershiser

Nicknamed because of his competitiveness and his small stature, pitcher Orel "Bulldog" Hershiser played for the Dodgers the majority of his professional career. In 1979 he started with the Dodger organization in the minors before moving up to the majors in 1983. He went to the Indians, Giants and Mets before returning to the Dodgers for his final season in 2000.

Hinduism has the belief that dogs guard the doors of Heaven as well as protect the earthly homes and lives. In addition the dog is a messenger of the angel of death. So in order to please the dogs that will be met at Heaven's doors upon their death, they celebrate the dog during the festival.

The 14th day of the lunar cycle in November is known as Kukur-tihar or "dog's day" and is also the second day of the festival.
