Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Want to see a lot? This trip is going to hit four continents in three weeks on a whirlwind adventure!

Your journey starts in New York City-- likely an ideal place to catch a flight to nearly anywhere. New York actually has a handful of airports servicing travellers, and JFK is one of the biggest for international flights (others in the area being LaGuardia and Newark).

Your trip is taking you to Africa first, however, and the only reasonable connection flight you'll have for that is likely to go through a major airport like O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. It's a long couple flights, but you'll eventually end up at Victoria Falls, sitting on the Zambezi River along the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Also known as 'The Smoke that Thunders', it's one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the world, especially during the wet season.

After your safari in Africa, you have a few stops to make in France, so a northbound trip to the 'City of Lights' is in order. It's a city of wall-to-wall landmarks, all situated in a massive central area cut through by the Seine. The highest point here is in Montmartre, which is topped by narrow streets and the Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur.

Paris is a city that contains numerous major train stations, and leaving from Gare de Lyon, passengers will head down towards the Mediterranean, Switzerland, and Italy. Your route will have you headed through the Alps and then down through the north half of Italy until you reach Roma Centrale, smack-dab in the middle of Italy's capital and only a short walk from most of its major landmarks (including the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican City).

But don't get too comfortable! Your next destination is far to the southeast in one of the world's busiest cities: Delhi, India. Your stay here will bring you to some of the biggest Mughal structures and most-packed markets in the country with the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, and it'll be the best place to fill up before a trip two hundred fifty kilometres south to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Your last stop-- and I hope you've got your visa ready-- is the capital city of Beijing, China, another one of the most populated cities in world. Though much of Beijing is situated in the plains south of the Jundu Mountains, you're still going to be getting your steps in. Fortunately, many of your points of interest here are in flatter parts of the city; Tiantan Park is in a colossal space more than four times the size of the Forbidden City, and it's only a short distance southeast from that central palace. Most people don't realize that the Great Wall is a bit of a distance outside of the city, but this said, you have a choice between picturesque passes at Badaling, Mutianyu, and Juyong, to name a few options.

Your last flights will be long-hauls, but hey-- you can sleep on the plane! You'll regain a day by flying back across the Pacific and, likely, you'll connect somewhere on the west coast before returning to your starting point in New York City.
