Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

The Italian restaurant scene in "The Godfather" set the stage for Michael Corleone to fully commit to being involved in the "family" business. Prior to the scene, Michael was considered a good guy, a war hero, and kept away from the Corleone mob connections. But in one of the most terrifying scenes in the book, Michael wants to avenge the murder attempt on his father, Don Corleone. In just a few minutes, the carefully choreographed murder scene transitions Michael to the bad guy role as a full member of the Corleone mob family.

In the 1972 movie, "The Godfather", the Italian restaurant scene is vividly captured with great attention to detail in showcasing the authentic feel of the New York City restaurant. Al Pacino owned the role of Michael Corleone here and you could feel the tension building at the restaurant table. We know that Michael is planning to kill these men but he's raw, nervous, and we wonder how the scene will play out. The black and white cinematography highlighted Pacino's brooding face as he contemplated the implications of what would happen next.
