1. Coach Carter
Answer: Basketball
The 2005 sports drama film stars Samuel L. Jackson and Channing Tatum and was directed by Thomas Carter. It is a dramatized version of Ken Carter, a high school basketball coach that benched his entire undefeated team because of their poor academic performance.
While initially criticized for his overzealous ways, he would eventually gain the support and respect of the community, as all he was trying to do was ensure that his students would be accepted at good colleges.
2. The Blind Side

Oher would eventually play left tackle in the NFL.
3. Moneyball

Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill star in this 2011 Bennett Miller film about sabermetrics and their introduction into the league. Sabermetrics are advanced statistics and mathematical techniques that are used in an attempt to accurately assess what are the greatest factors that influence victory for a baseball team. The movie was loosely based on a 2003 book by Michael Lewis.
4. Million Dollar Baby

The 2004 boxing drama that won the Oscars for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor (Morgan Freeman) starred Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank (who won Best Actress), and was also directed by Eastwood, who won Best Director for his efforts. The brilliant movie is the fictional story of Maggie Fitzgerald, an amateur female boxer who wants to become a professional and hires aggressive and bitter trainer Frankie Dunn.
5. Cool Runnings

John Turteltaub directs this 2003 sports comedy about a Jamaican bobsled team starring John Candy and Leon Robinson. A Jamaican sprinter that has failed to qualify for the Olympics decides that he can still participate in the Winter Olympics if he forms a bobsled team and attempts to qualify.
6. Chariots of Fire

The 1981 historical sports film was directed by Hugh Hudson and starred Ben Cross and Ian Charleson. It was ranked the 19th best British film of the 20th century by the BFI (British Film Institute) in 1999. The theme by Greek composer Vangelis is the recognizable "Chariots of Fire".
The movie follows 1924 British Olympic champion Harold Abrahams, who won the gold medal despite being a significant underdog, with a time of 10.6 seconds.
7. Bend It Like Beckham

The 2002 movie was written and directed by Gurinder Chadha and starred Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra. The title refers to English football superstar David Beckham, who was famous for his "bending" free kicks that often found the back of the net.
The movie's protagonist "Jess" Bhamra is an British girl of Punjabi origin who has an interest in playing the game, despite her family's objections.
8. Warrior

The 2011 movie was directed by Gavin O'Connor and starred Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy as two brothers that practice different styles of martial arts. The brothers, who have been estranged as a result of their father's abuse as children, both enter an MMA tournament with a large prize pool and eventually face each other in the final round.
9. Ford v Ferrari

The 2019 blockbuster movie was directed by James Mangold and starred Christian Bale as Ken Miles, a British race car driver, and Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby, a former race car driver and car designer. The film is set in 1963, when the Ford company was considering purchasing the Italian sports car company Ferrari.
10. Invictus

The 2009 biographical sports film was directed by Clint Eastwood and starred Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as South African rugby union player Francois Pienaar. The movie revolves around the South African rugby union team, then consisting of mostly white players, and their lack of support from black South Africans following the tensions of apartheid.
