Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first one of all Called Eve "the bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh."

Answer: Adam

Adam is the first man created by God, according to Genesis 1:26. In Genesis 2:23 (KJV), Adam calls Eve the "bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh." When God created Eve, he put Adam to sleep, then took one of his rib bones and created her.
2. First son of Rachel He had eleven brothers Sold as slave one day.

Answer: Joseph

Joseph was the first son of Jacob and Rachael. Before him was born to Jacob and Leah: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah (Genesis 29:31-35, KJV). Then Jacob slept with Rachel's maid, Bilhah, and had Dan and Naphtali (Genesis 30:6-8). Next, he slept with Leah's maid, Zilpah, and had Gad and Asher (Genesis 30:10-12). Then he slept with Leah again, and Issachar and Zebulun were born (Genesis 30:18-20).

Leah also was the mother of his daughter Dinah (Genesis 30: 21).

Finally, Rachel had a son named Joseph (Genesis 30:24). The birth of her only other son, Benjamin, is described in Genesis 35, and Rachel sadly died while giving birth.
3. A true basket case Grew up to save his people Got Ten Commandments

Answer: Moses

Moses was put in a basket and placed in the Nile River when he was a baby, in hopes his life would be spared, as the Pharoah of that time ordered all the male Hebrew children born to be killed (Exodus 1:22-2:3 KJV).

In Exodus 3, God told Moses that He would use Moses to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.

In Exodus 19, the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. In the next chapter, Moses gave the people the Ten Commandments he received from God.
4. Brother of Moses In trouble for golden calf Ordained priest by God

Answer: Aaron

Aaron was Moses' older brother. They also had a sister named Miriam. In Exodus 32, Aaron gathers all the Hebrews' gold, melts it, and then creates a golden calf for them to worship.

In Leviticus 8, Aaron and his sons go through a ceremony, "Moses took of the blood of it [ram, from verse 22)] and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot" (Leviticus 8:23 KJV). The sons were in the following verse.
5. A son of Aaron Over the chief Levites Wore Aaron's garments

Answer: Eleazar

Numbers 3:2 list the names of Aaron's four sons, with Nadab being the firstborn. The other three are Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. In verse 32 of the same chapter (KJV), Eleazar is described as "chief over the chief of priests."

In Number 20, God has Moses go up to Mount Hor with Aaron and Eleazar. Moses takes the priestly garments off Aaron and puts them on Eleazar. Once this is complete, Aaron dies, and Moses and his nephew come back down. Verse 29 says, "They mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel."
6. One of the good spies He took over for Moses Called the "son of Nun"

Answer: Joshua

In Numbers 13, Moses sent out twelve spies (one from each tribe) to check out the land of Canaan. Verse 8 (KJV) says, "Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea, the son of Nun." In Numbers 14:6, we see Oshea is written as Joshua. Later in the book of Joshua 1:5-9 Joshua is reminded that God is with him and that the land belongs to the Hebrews. But also, before this, God told Abraham in Genesis 12:7 (NIV), "To your offspring, I give this land."

I referred to him as one of the good spies because only he and Caleb wanted to take Canaan and fulfill God's promise. The others didn't think it was possible.
7. He had lots of wealth Was the kinsman redeemer Great-Grandpa of Dave

Answer: Boaz

Ruth chapter two (KJV) describes Boaz as "a mighty man of wealth."

In Ruth 3:12, he tells Ruth he is a kinsman redeemer, but there is one closer, so he has to give that guy first dibs (not his exact words). In chapter four, Boaz meets the other guy and tells him he is the kinsman redeemer and can buy Naomi's land, but then he has to take Ruth as well. Since Ruth is a Moabitess, the man has no interest, so Boaz is now free to marry her.

At the end of chapter four, Ruth gives birth to Obed, and it says in verse 17, "He is the father of Jesse, the father of David."
8. Israel's first king Often tried to kill David He fell on his sword

Answer: Saul

In First Samuel 8, the Israelites want a king like the other places had. In the next chapter, Saul is the one the people want as king because of his appearance. Saul proves to be an evil king, and when God tells Samuel to anoint David, he tells him in 1 Samuel 16:7b (KJV), "For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."
9. Dreamt of a statue Put three men in a furnace Became animal

Answer: Nebuchadnezzar

In chapter two of Daniel, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, of the statue the king dreamed about and interprets the dream.

In chapter three, Nebuchadnezzar makes a giant idol of himself out of gold. He declares that when the music plays, everyone is to bow down to the idol. Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego refuse to bow down. Nebuchadnezzar warns them they will be thrown into the fiery furnace. However, they still refuse. In Daniel 3:17-18 (KJV), they reply, "If it be so, our God who we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

In chapter seven, Nebuchadnezzar has another dream which Daniel also interprets. He tells him that he will look and act like an animal in a year if he doesn't change his ways. The dream comes true, and Nebuchadnezzar lives as a wild animal for seven years.
10. Tried to run away Was swallowed by a big fish The fish vomited

Answer: Jonah

Jonah was commanded to go to Nineveh to give them a message from God. Jonah decided he didn't want to and set off for Tarshish.

Jonah 1:4 (KJV) says, "But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea so that the ship was like to be broken." The other men were scared; Jonah knew why it was happening, and they threw him overboard. At the end of the chapter, it says a great fish swallowed Jonah and he was "in the billing of the fish three days and three nights."

Jonah prayed to God and praised him for saving him from the storm, keeping him safe in the fish's belly, and promised to sacrifice. Verse ten of chapter two says, "And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land."
