Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who prophesied saying, 'Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of His Saints'?

Answer: Enoch

Jude vs.14 - God used Jude to warn the church about false teachers. Jude demanded believers to enter into battle against false teachers. He reminds the church of the actions taken against Sodom and Gomorrah, as well as the banishment of Cain (after he killed Abel). Jude used the prophesy of Enoch as a warning to execute judgement upon all false teachers (vs.15).
2. Who said, 'Is not this great Babylon, that I have built'?

Answer: Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel interpreted a dream which King Nebuchadnezzar had involving a large strong tree, full of leaves and fruit, and tender grass in the field wet with dew. Daniel's interpretation was that the king would fall. 'He would be driven away from men and would be made to eat grass as the oxen, and be wet with dew'. (Daniel 4:25). Twelve months later Nebuchadnezzar walked into his kingdom and spoke the words (Daniel 4:30) 'Is not this the great Babylon, that I have built'? After that, Daniel's interpretaion came true!
3. Who said, 'Behold the handmaid of the {Lord;} be it unto me according to thy word'?

Answer: Mary -Jesus' mother

Luke 1:38 - Mary said this when the angel Gabriel told her that 'she would bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus'.
4. Who said, 'Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another'?

Answer: Daniel

King Belshazzar (Nebuchadnezzar's son), stole golden vessels from God's house in Jerusalem. He, his princes, wives, and concubines drank wine from them and praised the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and stone. (Seems like they partied a little too much!) While doing this a finger appeared and wrote a message on the wall.

The king called upon Daniel to interpret these writings. He offered Daniel gifts in which Daniel said 'Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another'. (Daniel 5:17)
5. Who said, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'?

Answer: God

Matthew 3:16 After John the Baptist had baptised Jesus, 'the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove...'Matthew 3:17 '...and a voice from heaven, saying, this is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'.
6. Who said, 'If I perish, I perish'?

Answer: Esther

Esther, a young Jewish girl, became the wife and Queen of King Ahasuers, although he did not know she was Jewish. Haman, the king's chamberlain (offical of state), found out about Esther and proclaimed that he would destroy all Jews in the kingdom. Esther vowed to save the Jews: she would go to the king, which was illegal at that time.

In Esther 4:17, she said 'If I perish, I perish'. She was not killed, and the Jews were saved because of her bravery!
7. Who said, 'This is the will of God, even your sanctification'?

Answer: Paul

Paul wrote to the church of Thessalonica to help them understand why Jesus had not returned, and what they should look for. He showed them reasons to stay faithful in a hostile world. In 1st Thessalonians chapter 4, Paul reminds the church of the commandments which the church is to follow. He states in 4:3 'For this is the will of God, even your sanctification'.

Answer: David

Psalm 56:8 - This whole Psalm is a perfect prayer for the September 11, 2001 attack on America...Please read it.
9. Who said, 'Ye are all the children of God, by faith in Jesus Christ'?

Answer: Paul

Galatians 3:26 - Paul was telling believers to live the life the Spirit led them, because the Jewish people wanted them to live under the Jewish faith, not by faith in Christ.
10. Who said, 'Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God'?

Answer: Stephen

Acts 7:56 - Stephen saw this vision before being stoned to death for his beliefs in Christ. He was the first disciple to die for his faith.
