Answer: Dave Schultz
Schultz was nicknamed The Hammer. He racked up 348 penalty minutes in 1973-74 most of which involved fighting. He also scored 20 goals that season (he played 73 of 78 regular season games), and two in the playoffs, one of which was the series winner against the Atlanta Flames in the quarter finals.

Captain Bobby Clarke was the heart of this team. Born a diabetic many didn't think he could keep up with the pace of being a hockey player. They were wrong. Clarke had 87 points that season but his most important goal game in game 2 of the finals scoring in overtime to tie the series against the powerful Boston Bruins.

Answer: Ed Van Impe
Van Impe was one of the players the Flyers took in the 1967 expansion draft. His tough defensive play earned him the respect of the league. His claim to fame in his career was during the 1976 game against the seemingly unstoppable Soviet Red Army, in the 1st period, Van Impe came out of the penalty box and laid out Valeri Kharlamov, a hit the Russians deemed dirty which prompted them to leave the ice.

"The Chief" as he is known served as Bernie Parent's backup but, unlike modern-day hockey where backups see significant playing time, Taylor barely saw the ice playing in only 7 regular season games, 3 of which were starts.

MacLeish was one of the Flyers prolific scorers. He played all 78 games in season 1973-74 and scored 32 goals. He scored the Stanley Cup winner in the 1st period of game 6 of the finals.

Nolet was more known for his penalty killing skills. Nolet would go on to be the first captain for the Kansas City Scouts (they became the New Jersey Devils). He played 52 of 78 regular season games in 1973-74 and scored 19 goals.

Bernie is known as one of the greatest goalies in the game. In the Flyers 2 Stanley Cup seasons Parent compiled a 91-27-22 record with a 1.96 goals against average and 24 shutouts. His 47 wins in a single season stood for more than 30 years until it was broken by Martin Brodeur in 2007.

Barber was a winger on the famous LCB line in which also featured Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach from 1975-1981. He scored 34 goals in 75 games in season 1974-74.

"Moose" was another of the outstanding defensemen on the Flyers in the Broad Street Bullies days. Dupont scored the tying goal in the waning seconds of game 2 of the 1974 finals that sent the game into overtime, where Bobby Clarke scored the game winner. He also got the assist on the Cup winning goal in game 6 scored by Rick MacLeish.

"Dorney" has a statue of him scoring a playoff goal against Minnesota North Stars, which led to the Flyers first ever playoff series win.

Nicknamed "Big Bird", Saleski was, along with Schultz, one of the team's enforcers. He played 77 of 78 regular season games in 1973-74 and scored 15 goals.

"The Hound" wasn't the biggest guy on the ice but no one was going to out hustle him. Kelly scored the Stanley Cup winning goal against the Sabers a year later, in the 1975.

A seasoned defenseman, Watson didn't score many goals but in 1976 he put one past the great Vladislav Tretiak of the Soviet Red Army.
