The goat appeared at Georgia's first football game: February 22, 1892, against Auburn. He wore a black coat with the letters, U G on the sides.

2. Their first Dawg mascot appeared in 1894. What kind of dog was it?

Her name was Trilby, and it was her presence and that of her 13 puppies at practices and games that started the University's nickname. She was a solid white Bull Terrier.

Mr. Angel served from 1944-1946 and was a brindle and white colored English Bulldog. Butch was a brindled English Bulldog and served from 1947-1950. Mike served from 1951-1955. He was also a brindled Bulldog and a bronze statue of him stood in front of Memorial Hall.

It was actually Uga IV that was portrayed in the book, but he had already passed away before filming. Uga III appeared in the movie "Gator" (1976). One of his most famous scenes was in 1996 as he lunged at an Auburn player who entered his turf.

Uga IV was indeed a male. Not only would the Seilers never vacation during football season, there would be a manhunt if any Uga was kidnapped. He jumped off a bed in a hotel room prior to the Vanderbilt game in 1986. UGA went 3-1 during Ott's time.

Uga II had a 42-16-3 record from 1966 - 1972 and attended five bowl games.
Uga III 71 - 32 - 2 and had a National Championship (1980) to go with a total of six bowls from 1972 - 1980. Uga IV attended a bowl every every year he served, 1981 - 1989 for a total of nine to go with a record of 77-27-4.
Uga V served from 1990 - 1999. He attended five bowls and finished with a record of 65-39-1. Uga VI who began in 1999 has attended seven bowls as of 2006 and at the end of the 2006 season had a 76-25 record. At 65 pounds, he is also the heaviest of the line.
