Alan Page graduated in 1967 with a BA in Political Science from Notre Dame. He was the 15th pick of the first round by the Minnesota Vikings in 1967 NFL draft. Page was a 9-time Pro-Bowler and 6-time first team All-Pro. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of fame in 1988. Alan received a law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1978.

After Wheel, he published his book, "Alive and Kicking", about his battles with ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease.

He is probably remembered for portraying Tarzan, and the distinctive Tarzan yell in the movies. His first Tarzan movie was, "Tarzan the Ape Man", in 1932.
