Answer: Cameron Mathison

Mathison, who has played Ryan Lavery on "AMC" on and off since January of 1998, paid tribute to his soap by hosting this special. Throughout the program, Mathison interviewed people who worked both behind the scenes and stars on the show, like Josh Duhamel (Leo).

This was not Mathison's first time hosting a soap related show, as he previously was the host for the Soapnet created show, "I Wanna Be a Soap Star".

Answer: Stephanie Sloane

Sloane, Editor of "Soap Opera Digest", provided a little backdrop on what made "AMC" a one of a kind soap during its debut. Sloane made mention of their handling social issues with such responsibility in a way previous daytime dramas never did. She credits "AMC" being an initial success by breaking a soap opera norm with having teenage Erica take a central focus.

Answer: Walt Willey (Jack)

During the segment when Mathison interviewed famous celebrities who got their start on "AMC", Michael E. Knight (Tad) spoke fondly of how empowering Gellar was as a young kid when she initially was on the soap. Walt Willey (Jack) also complimented Gellar's stunning portrayal of Kendall in the mid 1990s, too.

He cited her ability to pull off a convincing performance with Kendall in many ways behaving much like the mother she hated (later on, Kendall and Erica formed a strong bond).

LaRue, who has since gone onto star on "CSI: Miami", credited "AMC" for being a good start to her professional acting career. When she began on "AMC" in 1993, the role of Maria initially was supposed to be a recurring one with the actress only appearing on an as needed basis.

After LaRue wowed the people at "AMC", they signed her to a contract with the soap. LaRue spoke happily about how she got married while at "AMC" to co-star John Callahan (Edmund). On the day ABC cancelled "AMC", Gellar phoned up LaRue and the two apparently cried together on the phone.

Answer: Kim Delaney (Jenny)

Mathison interviewed one of the show's most popular actress, Kim Delaney (Jenny). Delaney said her initial reaction was the character likely not taking off as well with fans but then Jenny's pairing with Greg turned into one of the most beloved love stories in the soap's history. Since departing "AMC" in 1984, Delaney has had roles on shows like "CSI: Miami" and "NYPD Blue".

Answer: Susan Lucci (Erica)

Mathison sat down to have an exclusive interview with Susan Lucci (Erica). In 1971, "TV Guide" sat down with Lucci to do a profile of her in their magazine, which helped solidify her reputation as one of daytime's most recognized names. Lucci claimed in this interview to not even having a publicist at the time TV Guide wrote this article.

Mathison paid tribute to some of the soaps' most famous fans, one of whom was Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey made a cameo appearance on the show back in 1983 for one episode. Chrishell Stause commented on this special how amazed she is that Oprah found time to still watch "AMC" every single day.

Answer: Bobbie Eakes (Krystal)

Three former musical guests on "AMC" were featured in this special: Celine Dion, Rihanna and Ne-Yo. Eakes, who has played Krystal since December of 2003, spoke about the impact Ne-Yo's "AMC" appearance had on his career. At the time Ne-Yo made his cameo appearance in May of 2008, he just was emerging as a music star but soon became a musical sensation.

Answer: Melissa Leo (Linda)

Mathison spotlighted many famous Hollywood stars who got their big break on "AMC". Some of the people mentioned were Colin Egglesfield (Josh), Leven Rambin (Lily/Ava) and Michael B. Jordan (Reggie). However, it was Melissa Leo (Linda) who he credited for becoming a "Hollywood heavyweight" due to her Oscar win in 2011 for Best Supporting Actress for the film, "The Fighter". One clip during this segment showed Leo speaking about her love for acting since she was a little girl and how "AMC" noticed her potential at a young age.

Answer: Mark Consuelos (Mateo)

One of the many former "AMC" stars who was briefly interviewed was Mark Consuelos (Mateo). His character was a part of the Santos family which "AMC" gave a major presence in the mid 1990s. Consuelos stated "AMC" gave him many of life's gifts, which included a family (he married co-star, Kelly Ripa, in 1996 and had two of his three children while a member of the "AMC" ensemble).
