Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On cue fez tore

Answer: Uncle Fester

Jackie Coogan played Uncle Fester in the tv series that debuted in 1964.

Initially, Jackie Coogan did not get the part of Uncle Fester; however, after he shaved his head and put on makeup, they gave it to him.

Uncle Fester is recognized by his bald head. He had the ability to conduct electricity and light up a lightbulb by putting it in his mouth. In this tv series, he is Morticia Addams' uncle, and therefore he is not an Addams but lives with them and is a part of the family.
2. Hill ankh or amp

Answer: Helen Crump

"The Andy Griffith Show" debuted in 1960. Helen Crump is played by Aneta Corsaut starting in 1963 with the episode entitled "Andy Discovers America." Mrs. Crump is Opie's (Ronny Howard, the famous director now known as Ron Howard) teacher. Mrs. Crump is angry when Opie tells her that Andy (Andy Griffith) said history didn't matter. Andy clarifies and shows his son how exciting history is in Andy Taylor style.

Andy tells Opie and the other boys about "the shot that was heard around the world." The boys are so excited they all go home and read their history books.

Andy later dates Helen, and they get married in the spin-off series, "Mayberry R.F.D."
3. Clad is crab vetch

Answer: Gladys Kravitz

"Bewitched" debuted in 1964.

Gladys Kravitz was the nosy next-door neighbor of Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) and Darrin (Dick York until 1969 and then Dick Sargent) Stephens. Gladys believes there is something odd about the Stephens' house, and of course, she is correct, as Samantha is a witch and often uses magic (against Darrin's wishes). However, Gladys never has proof. Her husband Abner (George Tobias) thought she was crazy.

Alice Pearce played Gladys Kravitz from 1964-1966. She had already been diagnosed with ovarian cancer before the show started, but she wanted the part, so she didn't say anything when she auditioned for the role. She won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series posthumously. Although she died before the end of season two, she was in the final episode of season two.

For the rest of the run, Gladys was played by Sandra Gould.
4. All is kneels on

"The Brady Bunch" debuted in 1969.

Ann B. Davis played Alice Nelson. Alice was the Brady's maid during the run of the show. She was very close to the family, and they treated her like family. She dated a butcher named Sam Franklin (Allan Melvin). After Mike Brady's (Robert Reed) first wife died, Alice stayed on as the maid with Mike and his new wife and her children. She almost always wore a blue housekeeping uniform.
5. Wretch he pet tree

Answer: Ritchie Petrie

"The Dick Van Dyke Show" first aired in 1961.

Ritchie Petrie (Larry Mathews) is the only child of Rob (Dick Van Dyke) and Laura (Mary Tyler Moore) Petrie. 6. Jen charge rand

Answer: Ginger Grant

"Gilligan's Island" first debuted in 1964.

Ginger Grant (Tina Louise) was an actress who was on the S.S. Minnow when it was shipwrecked on a deserted island. While the men on the island are attracted to her, the only one she finds attractive is The Professor (Russell Johnson), but he's only really interested in her mind.

Ginger shares a hut with her best friend, Mary Ann (Dawn Wells).

Tina Louise, who played Ginger, was the last cast member alive from the cast of "Gilligan's Island."
7. Lee saw dog less

Answer: Lisa Douglas

"Green Acres" debuted in 1965.

Lisa Douglas (Eve Gabor) is an upper-class Hungarian (like the actress who played her) married to Oliver Wendell Douglas (Eddie Albert), an American lawyer. Oliver is sick of city life and wants to be a farmer so they move to Hooterville (which Lisa calls Hoosterville). Lisa claims her only talent is impersonating Zsa Zsa Gabor (Eva's real-life sister). Despite living on a farm, both she and her husband always dress in city clothing wearing dresses and suits.

Lisa had no desire to move to Hooterville, yet she fits in better than her husband. Oliver gets her to agree to try it for six months. When six months is up she wants to go home but then decides to stay a little longer.
8. Toe knee kneel sin

Answer: Tony Nelson

"I Dream of Jeannie" debuted in 1965.

Anthony "Tony" Nelson (Larry Hagman) is an astronaut for NASA. While in a one-person space capsule, the capsule comes down in the wrong area, and he sees a bottle. When he rubs it, Jeannie (Barbara Eden) comes out. She falls in love with him immediately, but he wants her to go away. However, since he freed her from the bottle, she is now his genie. At first, he keeps her in the bottle but eventually allows her to have freedom, and they soon become friends, and he falls in love with her. The only person who knows Jeannie is a genie is Tony's best friend and coworker, Roger Healey (Bill Daily).

The NASA psychiatrist, Dr. Alfred Bellows (Hayden Rorke), believes Tony is crazy. Still, whenever he thinks he has finally proven it, something goes wrong, and everyone thinks he is overworked or perhaps he is the one who is crazy.
9. Cig freed

Answer: Siegfried

"Get Smart" debuted in 1965.

Siegfried (Bernie Kopell) is the head of KAOS on "Get Smart." KAOS wants to destroy CONTROL (the group Maxwell smart, played by Don Adams, works for). He is a recurring character and a well-known villain on the show. Max manages to save the day every time, despite his clumsiness. It helps that his partner 99 (Barbara Feldon) is more intelligent than he is.
10. Well burp host

Answer: Wilbur Post

"Mister Ed" debuted in 1961.

Alan Young played Wilbur Post, a young architect. When he and his wife Carol (Connie Hines) moved to their new home, it included a horse named Mister Ed. Mister Ed was a typical Palomino, except that he could talk (he was voiced by Allan Lane).

However, he only spoke to Wilbur when seen. This often got Wilbur in trouble, as he would be blamed for Mr. Ed's antics.
