Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A demon with two jewel shards in his/her legs. They originally had three but lost the one from his/her arm. Who is this?

Answer: Koga

Koga's jewel shards seem to be mentioned/seen in every episode that he makes an appearence in. Koga lost his jewel shard from the arm during the battle with the paradise birds and never seemed to be able to get it back; since whenever he got three shards again it was stolen from him.
Ayame is another wolf demon who is in love with Koga. Onigumo is the bandit that eventually combined with demons to become Naraku. Hiten is one of the original Thunder Brothers.
2. Whose blood begins the river to Netherworld?

Answer: Tekkei

Tekkei is the bird demon mother of Princess Abi who was tricked into attacking Naraku so that he could kill her and make her blood lead the pathway to the Netherworld. Inuyasha's gang also used the same pathway where the final jewel shard was obtained by them.
Toran is the panther demon in charge who chased after Sesshomaru and controls the element - ice. Princess Abi was also tricked by Naraku to get into the Netherworld. Hosenki is the demon found in the Netherworld and when in the living world he made gems that could allow you to pass into the Netherworld.
3. Who is the scholar by day and bull demon by night?

Answer: Gyuoh

A tough one if you haven't seen the episode recently. Gyuoh is the name of the demon form of Izumo (which is actually his grandfather's name but the name he gives in the episode) who was the bull demon in the episode "The Sacred Jewel Maker". He was a half-demon who wanted to create a jewel by making Kagome's soul take Midoriko's place and using Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku and Shippo's souls take the place of the four spirits.

He wanted the sacred jewel so that he could become fully human. The other options were Ginta who is one of the two wolf demons that Koga runs around with. Bokusenou is the tree demon that Sesshomaru went to regarding Inuyasha's demon transformations and Kaijinbo is the swordsmith who created the Tokijin (Sesshomaru's sword).
4. What is the name of the flying demon that accompanies Sesshomaru, Rin and Jaken?

Answer: Ah-Un

Ah-Un is the two-headed demon that Rin and Jaken seem to travel on. The Ah-Un seems to have a kind of bond with Rin and helps her when she is unaccompanied by Jaken and Sesshomaru.
Uh-An is something I made up. Kumo Gashira was a weak demon who is insignificant and just shown in the series to show the greed of demons when it comes to collecting the jewel shards. Kinka and Ginka are the conjoined demon twins who were never introduced in the anime as the anime ended early.
5. A female demon whose weapons of choice are flowers and leaves. The demon was proposed to by the man of her dreams on the night of a lunar rainbow. Who is this?

Answer: Ayame

I bet the lunar rainbow was a dead giveaway if you got this one right. Yeah, Ayame is the young wolf demon who came searching for Koga so that they could get married. She is seen later in the start of season five as she is running away from the "spectre" Kyokotsu who was the first of the band of seven.
Chokyuukai is the pig/boar demon (people call him pig demon but he is a boar demon apparently) who keep hunting for women to be his bride. Hari is the demon from the first "Inuyasha" movie. Rin is the young human girl that travels with Sesshomaru.
6. Which is the first demon ever seen in the "Inuyasha" series?

Answer: Mistress Centipede

She seems to be one of the few demons to be able to pass through the bone-eater's well that Kagome passes through. She appeared in Kagome's era in the first episode and dragged her back to the feudal times which is what started the "Inuyasha" series.
Shouga is the female flea who was chasing myoga for marriage. The unnamed snake demon comes much later in Inuyasha and is seen in a few episodes for example the one where Inuyasha tries to cure Kagome's cold and meets a lot of demons on the way. Menomaru is the moth demon from the first movie.
7. At one point this demon loved humans but when betrayed by one he/she became the exact opposite and went so far to plot to kill all humans. Which demon fits the description?

Answer: Hoshiyomi

This is from the naginata of kenkon story arc. Hoshiyomi is betrayed by Tsukiyomi or atleast he thinks he is betrayed because she locks him in a barrier while she detroys the weapon that was made specefically for them. In reality, she realizes that Hoshiyomi cannot control the demonic aura that is around the weapon and just locks him in a barrier long enough to break apart the weapon.

However, fate plys differently and before she can unlock Hoshiyomi her excessive use of her powers leads to her death. Tigokumaru is the great bat demon who at one point controlled the barrier.

He was slain in the combat against Inuyasha when Tigokumaru's granddaughter, Shiori removes him from the barrier and he falls victim to Inuyasha's wind scar. It is the killing of Tigokumaru which allows the tetsaiga to become red. Kageromaru is one of Naraku's incarnations.
8. A very harmless half demon who has in the past been wrongly blamed. He/she does not wish to show their face when in the human form to anyone, no matter how much he/she trusts them. Who is this?

Answer: Jinenji

In the episode "Jinenji, Kind yet Sad" we met Jinenji who was a very kind half demon and was blamed for the actions of a worm like demon who was living in the forest at that time. Jinenji lives with his mother and works on his deceased father's vegetable garden.

After Inuyasha and Kagome help Jinenji and people realize that he is harmless, the vegetable garden becomes famous for its medicinal plants. When Rin comes searching for him, he is reluctant to show his human form even though he feels that Rin is very much like Kagome, who he trusts. The other options were Kaijinki who I made up because it sounds a lot like the other demons in the series. Koyuki is the snow maiden who saves Miroku after he ran away from home and is later shown in the series to be possessed by a snow demon. Hosenki was Inuyasha's fathers friend and the one that created the father's grave in Inuyasha eye.
9. Which demon is NOT associated with the Thunder Brothers?

Answer: Shunran

Shunran is not associated with the thunder demons. She is one of the panther demons who could create illusions and was battling Inuyasha at the entrance of the castle. She was defeated when her own master used her soul to resurrect himself.
Koryu is the cartoonish dragon that follows Souten around but considering Souten is the last remaining thunder brother, Koryu is considered to be offficially a Thunder Brother. Manten was one of the original thunder brothers. He was the ugly one with the big head and able to shoot thunder from his mouth.
10. This was the last shown incarnation of Naraku as the anime ended with "The Bond between them, use the sacred jewel shard". What was the name of this incarnation?

Answer: Hakudoshi

Moryoumaru is the demon that is shown in the last couple of episodes before the anime ended. He was one of the blank soulless demons created by Hakudoshi and eventually given the job to protect the infant which is Naraku's heart. He is shown in the final episode fighting kikyo to protect the infant. Hakudoshi is the last incarnation shown in the anime and is created when the demon infant is split into two. Akago is what the Japanese manga refers the demon infant as. Byakuya is technically the last incarnation but seeing as I specefied that this is based solely on the anime, Byakuya is not even introduced yet.
