When we first see Roberto da Costa he is wearing an electronic collar and being roughed up. He tries to bribe the kidnappers by telling them he is the heir to his family's fortune.

While the kidnappers are roughing up Roberto da Costa, they notice that the weather outside is getting worse. Their leader senses a mutant is near and orders his minions to arm themselves with Sentinel rockets. These rockets are placed over their arms and can shoot powerful blasts. Bishop and Cyclops join Storm to fight the kidnappers and rescue Roberto. "The Night of the Sentinels" was the first episode of the "X-Men" animated series that began in 1992 and the gigantic robotic sentinels shot rocket blasts as well

Roberto is laying on a bed and wakes up to find a pleasant mutant introduce himself as Hank McCoy or Beast. Roberto is taken aback by Beast's appearance and comments that he is very blue. Not bothered by this comment, Beast tells Roberto it's a very astute observation.

Dr. Valerie Cooper has a conference with Cyclops and Jean Grey and she mentions that she is a member of the United Nations task force seeking to apprehend Bolivar Trask. Trask is believed to be the mastermind behind the nefarious group Friendship of Humanity being able to obtain Sentinel technology.

Answer: Wolverine

While at a nightclub trying to get Roberto back, Wolverine tells Morph that Cyclops and Jean Grey are going to leave the X-Men so that they can raise their baby in a normal environment. Earlier in the episode Jean Grey told Cyclops that she wanted to leave the X-Men to raise their son.

Initially Cyclops is against this idea since they were some of the school's first students but he eventually agrees.

Cyclops tries to get Henry Gyrich to tell them who has access to sentinel technology. He offers to reduce Gyrich's prison sentence for killing Charles Xavier from 25 to 10 years. Trask refuses stating that no matter how much people try to co-exist with mutants, tolerance will be bring about humanit's extinction.

Jean Grey uses a mind reading machine to get into Bolivar Trask's head to obtain his whereabouts. Once there the X-Men make quick work of the robotic Sentinels. The final Sentinel, named Master Mold, is decapitated by Wolverine.

In the "X-Men" comics, Roberto da Costa is known as Sunspot and he is capable of storing and utilizing solar energy. Roberto tells Jubilee that his family doesn't know about his powers. She then tries to convince Roberto to stay with the X-Men as he'll be part of a family that accepts him for who he is.

For years Charles Xavier and Magneto were very good friends. However, Magneto and Xavier disagreed on how to interact with humanity. Magneto reveals to the X-Men at the end of the episode that in Charles Xavier's will he was named as the sole beneficiary to his estate that includes the X-Men Academy.
