"Licence To Kill" was Timothy Dalton's last try at playing James Bond. I think he did fairly well with this one. It certainly had some very interesting characters, and is definitely one of my favorites.

2. Who played James Bond in "Licence To Kill"?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: Timothy Dalton

3. Who sings the theme song?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: Gladys Knight

Gladys Knight sang with back up singers called "The Pips". They performed a very popular song in the 1970s called "Midnight Train To Georgia". She is also responsible for this movie's theme song. Tina Turner sang "Goldeneye", A-Ha sang "The Living Daylights", and Sheryl Crow sang "Tomorrow Never Dies".

4. What was the name of the drug lord James Bond was tracking for the entirety of the film?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: Franz Sanchez

In the beginning of the film, Sanchez was first seen killing a man for sleeping with his girlfriend. After distracting the DEA, Sanchez nearly made an escape on an airplane. James Bond, however, put a stop to Sanchez's escape plans by tying the airplane to the helicopter he was on. It seemed that Sanchez had been finally put behind bars, but, due to a two million dollar bribe, a police officer named Ed Killifer betrayed his comrades and released Sanchez.

5. What happens to Felix?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: He is maimed by a shark at the hands of Sanchez's men.

After the intro, Felix is kidnapped and Della is killed. Felix is then hung over a pool with sharks. He somehow survives but loses a leg, and is found by James.

6. After his friend Felix Leiter got married, Felix and his wife, Della, gave James Bond a present. What was the present?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: A lighter

The gift from the newlyweds was a sign of their appreciation for James Bond's service over the years. The lighter was also engraved. It read, "James, Love Always, Della and Felix". After reading the inscription, James Bond turned on the lighter. He was surprised, seeing as the flame from the lighter shot nearly a foot high. That was the last he saw of the newlywed couple together. Della was killed by Sanchez's goons, and Felix had one of his legs and an arm eaten off by a shark.

7. What is the name of Milton Krest's boat?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: The WaveKrest

"WaveKrest" is written right on the front of the ship. It was obviously named after the owner, Milton Krest. This is the boat that Sanchez uses to transport his product and the money earned from it. In a way, Milton Krest works for him.

8. After attacking the drug lord's warehouse, James Bond was summoned by M for a meeting. What did M do to James Bond as punishment for going rogue?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: He revoked his license to kill.

After summoning James Bond, M talked to him about how he shouldn't go on a personal vendetta, and how he should go back to his assigned mission in Turkey. After M asked for Bond's gun, James Bond beat up M's two MI-6 guards, and escaped to continue his quest for revenge.

9. How does Bond escape from Milton Krest's boat?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: He water skis behind a seaplane, and then hijacks it.

After he jumps off the WaveKrest, James rides the minisub to the plane, then spears the back of it with a spear gun and skis his way out of danger. He then jumps in the plane in mid air and tosses the crew out. Just another day at the office for James.

10. To sneak onto the drug lord's boat, James Bond had to use a disguise. What did he disguise himself as?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: A Manta Ray

To avoid underwater detection, Bond disguised himself as a typical creature found swimming in the water. After sneaking onto the boat, Bond saw that Sanchez's thugs had killed his friend Sharky. Angered by that, Bond shot one of the men with a harpoon, then jumped into the water. After he poked holes through the bags of cocaine hidden underwater, Bond stole an airplane. On that airplane was five million dollars.

11. How does Milton Krest die?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: He is killed in the hyperbaric chamber by Sanchez.

Krest is set up by Bond. Bond convinces Sanchez that Krest is the traitor who stole his money. Then Bond sneaks on Krest's boat and returns the stolen money that Sanchez has been looking for. Sanchez follows Bond's little plot and kills Krest by putting him in the hyperbaric chamber, (this is the chamber used to restore normal pressure after deep sea diving). After turning the pressure way up, Sanchez cuts the hose and releases all the pressure rapidly, killing Krest. What a way to go.

12. After escaping from the boat, James Bond headed back to his friend Felix's house. Using a CD, James Bond was able to find the meeting place of one of Felix's contacts. What was the name of the bar where he and the contact met?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: The Barrel-Head Bar

The contact Bond had to meet was a woman named Pam Bouvier. She had an apparent grudge with Sanchez and his dealings, just like Bond. With Sanchez's men all around them, it seemed only fitting to have a bar-fight scene. Bond and his new ally escaped nearly unscathed from the fight, on a speed boat.

13. What one quality makes Sanchez different from the other Bond villains?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: He is very loyal to the people who are loyal to him.

After Sanchez is freed, Krest suggests that the federal agent that helped him escape be "disposed" of, but Sanchez insists that he made a deal with this man and must keep it. Throughout the rest of the movie Sanchez continuously shows this loyalty to all his men, but he is also ruthless to anyone who betrays him.

14. After getting out of the bar with his new friend, James Bond ventured to a place called Isthmus, where the drug baron apparently worked. The first thing he did was deposit money at the local bank. How much money did James Bond deposit in the bank?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: 4.9 million dollars

Although James Bond stole five million dollars from Sanchez, he gave $100,000 to Bouvier to pay for her help, and to buy herself new clothes. After making the deposit, Bond went into the casino and earned another $250,000.

15. What does Professor Joe Butcher keep saying even after he is locked up and robbed?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: "Bless your heart."

Professor Joe Butcher was played so charismatically by Wayne Newton, and what a good job he did. Joe Butcher is a Reverend who specializes in meditation. His telethon is actually a front for marketing and selling Sanchez's product. After Pam Bouvier locks him up in his own meditation room, he just says, "Bless Your Heart", and says it again when Pam grabs his money from him. I have to admit that Joe Butcher was a lovable character.

16. What did the drug lord and his gang use as a front to pay for their drug labs?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: A fake charity organization for a cult

Due to the manipulative words of the cult's leader, Professor Joe Butcher, people voluntarily sent money to help the organization. Little did anyone know, underground was a massive drug lab, worth over 32 million dollars, which produced some of the most potent drugs known to man.

17. How is Sanchez's product (drugs) hidden?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: Dissolved in gasoline

His team found a way to dissolve the drugs in gasoline, then return it to its natural state when it has reached its destination. Therefore, if the product gets stopped by the law, all they will find is just a gasoline tanker.

18. How is Franz Sanchez killed at the end?

From Quiz All about "Licence To Kill"

Answer: He is lit on fire.

After a great high speed chase scene involving the tankers, Sanchez crashes. The tanker breaks open and douses Sanchez with gasoline. Bond ignites him with the gift lighter he received from Felix and Della. A perfect case of poetic justice. Just as it was said in "Live and Let Die", "A genuine Felix lighter".

19. How was the antagonist of the film defeated?

From Quiz Licence To Kill

Answer: Lit on fire and detonated

After the truck Sanchez and Bond were fighting on rolled off of the shallow incline, it seemed that both Bond and Sanchez had perished. Covered in gasoline, Sanchez put a knife up to James Bond's face. Bond, in poetic fashion, used the lighter his nearly deceased friend had given him to light Sanchez on fire. With gasoline all around Sanchez, the truck detonated as well, killing him and finally ending James Bond's quest for revenge. James Bond will return!
