After the man speaks up that the initials belong to him, Tommy Lee Jones wraps the snare around his neck and slams his head on the table. Tommy Lee Jones is obviously an animal lover, and he finds a wolf that gets caught in a hunter's snare, which causes the wolf to bleed from his leg and limp. He gets very mad, finds 'J.W.', and tells him and his buddies, "No more snares on wolves guys", while pointing his finger at them and looking at them angrily.
