1. What is the name of the restaurant in which the movie takes place?

Kelsey's and T.G.I. Friday's are restaurants with a very similar theme to Shenaniganz. Jack's Steakhouse is a restaurant that is briefly mentioned in the movie, as Dean is offered a job there.

Monty (Ryan Reynolds) and Dean (Justin Long) call each other by this name a couple of times. There doesn't seem to be any reason behind the name.

Mitch (John Francis Daley) is introduced to Monty at the beginning of the movie. Mitch never gets a word in edgewise, because Monty and the other employees of ShenaniganZ are constantly interrupting him.

When Monty introduces Mitch to them, he calls T-Dog Theo and T-Dog gets upset. Later, T-Dog dreams he is dousing Dan the manager with gasoline, as Dan tries to extinguish a fire. Dan only refers to T-Dog as Theodore. The only people in the movie who actually call him T-Dog are Bishop and Naomi.

The Game is a crude activity between male co-workers. Monty is testing Mitch, to see if he can accept The Game as a joke, or if he'd take it seriously.

Monty also often says "Shenanigans" at random points in the movie. My guess is, he just likes saying the word! I wondered while watching "Waiting..." if this is the same restaurant chain that Farva claims to enjoy in "Broken Lizard's Super Troopers".

During the dinner rush, Dean is informed that there is a boy celebrating his eighth birthday at the restaurant. After rounding up some singers they go out to present Timmy with his cake. After their song, Timmy is crying hysterically when his picture is taken with the singers.

Chi McBride plays Bishop, the sage-like dishwasher. Luiz Guzman plays Raddimus, the chef responsible for the creation of The Game. Dane Cook plays Floyd, the wise-cracking cook who is in charge of the "corrections" to the meal of the picky customer. Skylar Stone plays an annonymous cook, who has a severe case of dandruff.

Calvin (Robert Patrick Benedict) works a double shift at ShenaniganZ in hopes of going out with Christy, who is never seen in the movie. Calvin, though a nice guy, is pathetic because of his constant anxiety when it comes to women. As for the other couples, Monty and Serena (Anna Faris) broke up because she claimed he was inadequate. Dean and Amy (Kaitlin Doubleday) are currently dating, and so are Raddimus (Luis Guzman) and Danielle (Jordan Ladd). Ironically, it is against ShenaniganZ company policy for co-workers to date.

Danielle the bartender is dating Raddimus the cook (2). Dean is dating Amy (4). Monty was involved with Serena until she dumped him (6). Natasha the hostess is not dating anybody although both Dan and Monty are trying to hook up with her.

When Dan goes outside to toss garbage away, he sees somebody park in the employee only spot who isn't an employee. He immediately calls Rocco on his cell phone. Later, we see Rocco pull in when Dan ushers Nick and T-Dog back inside to get to work.

Actually, he uses a more graphic term than "mess". After he gives tainted food back to a complaining woman (Melissa Morgan), he explains to Mitch that she deserved it because she broke the cardinal rule by being so condescdending to both him and Amy. I suppose he believes that this is the cardinal rule for life in general, which sounds pretty wise to me!

This is the motto of Shenaniganz. You hear it from Dan during the shift meeting, once during the training video that Mitch is watching, and one more time when Calvin and Serena are fighting over the order placing computer. Dan walks over and Calvin goes into his nervous brown-nose mode.

Theodore prefers to be called T-Dawg by his co-workers. Dan the Manager still calls him Theodore, though. He prefers to be called T-Dawg because he thinks he is from the streets. He goes by this nickname because it sounds cooler than Theodore.

Raddimus is the head chef at the restaurant, played by Luis Guzman. Bishop explains this when Dean comes to him looking for help about whether or not he should take the assistant manager position. Raddimus brought a game with him that all the male employees have fun playing. Bishop uses the game as an example to explain to Dean that when life becomes dull and boring, you need to find something to spice it up and make it interesting again.

When the waiting staff of ShenaniganZ sing a birthday song to Timmy, they do it so loudly and almost viciously that it makes Timmy burst into tears. Is it just me, or are the birthday songs performed in theme restaurants always humiliating and intimidating?

There's an opening for the job and Dan decided that Dean was the best choice. Dean never had a complaint from any customers ever and he is the hardest-working employee there. The owner of Jack's Steakhouse, who happens to be impressed with Dean's work, gives Dean his card and asks that he think about coming to work for him instead.

Mitch loses his temper with Floyd, Monty, Natasha, Dean, and Naomi. Serena never really did anything to upset Mitch. At the end of the movie, Mitch is tired of being ignored and mistreated by all of the employees of the restaurant, so he yells at them. This all leads up to him being accepted by his co-workers, because they realize how rude they were to him. Plus, he pulls off the Goat, which makes him "A god among men" in the eyes of his male co-workers.

Bishop (Chi McBride) cleanses the minds of his fellow employees much like the dishes he washes. He helps Calvin with his fear of using public bathrooms and clears up Dean's doubt about whether or not to take the assistant manager's job offered to him. Of course, his advice is not readily accepted by all. He offers to help Naomi with her constant anger, and gets a rage-filled reply. He also tells busboys Nick (Andy Milonakis) and T-Dog (Max Kasch) to stop acting black, and they stupidly refer to him as "Whitey". Bishop is also very observant: he claims that before Raddimus began work at ShenaniganZ, the employees' morale was very low. Raddimus created a game, and even though it is moronic, Bishop claims that the game saved the restaurant because it promotes a fun atmosphere and eases worker tensions.

Chet Miller, who happens to be somebody who took all the same honors classes in high school as Dean, and who just finished his Masters Degree in Electical Engineering, is the last customer of the night. After waiting on him, Dean realizes that he doesn't want to make working at Shenaniganz a permanent career so he walks into Dan's office at the end of the night and tells Dan that he quits.

Skylar Stone's character was going to add guacamole, but that would be mixing Mexican and Continental accoutrements, which is unnacceptable. The cooks and servers tamper with the food of customers who complain too much. They feel that when a customer complains, it is an insult, and is breaking one of the cardinal rules of food service: "don't mess with people that handle your food!"

Malick plays Monty's snarky mother perfectly. When Dean is complaining about his mom hassling him about college, Monty comments about his mom being very different. We then see a flashback to Dean having dinner with Monty and his mom. The two of them exchange vicious barbs about each other so passively, you'd think they were being complimentary.

You never see Bishop, more than likely because he stands behind the dish-washing station and is hidden from view. We see some of the nameless cooks but Floyd is never in the steadi-cam shot. The order in which the employees appear is: Naomi, Dean, Mitch, T-Dog, Nick, Tyla, Serena, Calvin, Monty, Natasha, Dan, Amy, Raddimus, and Danielle. It's pretty long and a couple of them appear twice in the shot. It's quite a very well choreographed movement.
