The two teams had 5 Melbourne Storm players, three for for Australia and two for New Zealandy. The Australian representatives, coached by Tim Sheens, were Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk. The New Zealand representatives, coached by former Melbourne Storm assistant coach, Stephen Kearney, were Matt Duffie (on debut) and Adam Blair.
The test was scheduled to be played in Christchurch NZ, but due to the disastrous earthquake two months earlier on 22nd February, it was transferred to Skilled Park on the Gold Coast. The final score of the game was 20-10 to the Australian team. This was the 12th ANZAC Test between the two nations; and all 12 of them have been won by team playing at home.
