One year after Margot went back into the No-End House with her father, she sits with him over breakfast. While she finishes her meal, he says he can wait another day to eat. She insists though as it's been long enough. She recalls a memory of when the two of them spent time near a lake; it's a memory she chooses because she's written it down. When the memory is finished, they see an apple on the floor, it having been materialized from her story. She asks what she spoke about and he vaguely tells her 'a few afternoons' before eating his meal.

Jules finds herself underwater in a bathtub, running out of air. When she surfaces, she sees nothing but a large, concrete sphere in front of her. She awakens when her sister and dog find her on the couch; she passed out when she got home. Her mother sits at the kitchen table and rolls a joint-- it's medicinal, she says, for her back-- and asks if she's going to visit Margot. Jules does, crying in the car before she arrives. This is, of course, before they head to the No-End House. Though Jules leaves the No-End House out the back door shortly before Margot, she doesn't admit to what she saw in room five: the concrete sphere from her dream, and when she touched it, it lit up. After they visited No-End House, Jules was the one to notice that Margot's house was number six on the street. She walked into the house to find Margot at the table ready for breakfast, her father there, even though he died a year earlier.

In a quiet, suburban neighbourhood, a young woman worries about turning the corner around house #6. When she finally does and walks to the street, she looks to her left and sees the foreboding, black house at the end. She starts walking towards it, but she runs when a man starts pursuing her. She nearly makes it, too. The man tackles her on the grass out front before looking at her arm; the words 'this isn't real' are carved into her flesh. He says they'll take it right off before pulling out a lighter and sparking it.

Margot sits at her desk filling out stories of her memories to ensure they're never gone forever. She heads to bed with Seth after she turns the light out. Her days are spent relaxing in the neighbourhood, swimming in the pool while her father watches, and strolling with Seth. Seth, meanwhile, is at ease with the situation as he finally has someone to spend his life with in the No-End House. He still, occasionally, visits the cage containing his family. Margot finds him walking one day and she insists he's making them suffer by not feeding them, but he says he's already given them everything he doesn't want to remember. As they walk, Margot has a dizzy spell. He tells her shortly after, once they've walked down the street, that the world has rearranged itself. The house has gone somewhere new.

Seth and J.D. emerge from the house later than the girls; J.D. is clearly shaken by what he found in Room 5, specifically the man with the mask from room 2, but when his mask was removed, another latex mask was underneath...a mask of his own face. Seth doesn't mention his room. The boys find that the girls' car is still on the street unaware that they walked home earlier. J.D. decides to call an Uber; Seth decides to wait for the girls. At Margot's house, the girls struggle to come to terms with the reappearance. When Margot asks her father where he's been for the past year, he finds the question odd. He claims to have been there the whole time. Elsewhere, the other visitor to No-End House breaks into all of the cars on a suburban street, looking for one to take. He lifts the hood on an old truck and finds that it doesn't contain any parts.

Margot watches TV in her room before receiving a text. Her friend, Jules, comes back for a bit of the summer, having gone to school, and the two of them talk about moving in together...at least Jules does. Margot admits to being a bit of a recluse and shies away at anything social. Jules, however, manages to convince her that it might be a good idea to head out to Hall Pass, a local club, that evening. Before Margot and Jules go for a swim in the pool, they both admit to receiving a really weird video message on their phones. Neither of them really explain it.

Jules, researching the No-End House on Reddit and other forums, has made great progress over a year in determining when and where the No-End House is set to make a reappearance. All signs point to Quebec, and when this is made clear she grabs her things and drives all the way there, making her way to the front entrance solo. Sure enough, it's there, and people are abuzz. As she lines up, a girl asks Jules how she heard about the house. The conversation is a short one though; she's recognized by none other than Seth.

Margot heads outside to be alone with her thoughts but she soon realizes she's not alone. Investigating a noise inside her pool shed she checks inside, missing her father hiding on its side. When she heads upstairs, Jules confesses that when she left after the funeral, she left Margot because she was scared of being unable to support her friend in mourning. Now, though, she wants to help her carry the weight of the tragedy. Margot's father struggles to keep his composure as Margot settles in for a nap inside. Jules decides to tuck her in and leave, but she notices the front door is open. She steps out to the porch to survey the neighbourhood, but she's grabbed from behind and told to keep quiet. It's Seth, and he knows Margot's father is in the house.

Margot asks her father why he left and reiterates that he died and she found him in their living room, horrifyingly bloated from his prescription pill allergy. It wasn't so much why he did it, she clarifies, but how it felt. She became obsessed, and just wanted to know how it felt so she could be close to him again. He admits how it felt to her-- it was quick, he claims-- and insists that he will be there for her. As Margot gets up to toss out the remains of her breakfast, she opens the trash to find her mother's hollowed out face staring up at her from the garbage. The memory of her mother is hazy, but everything is clearly amiss. She tries to leave, but her father stops her.

Margot's dad sits down for breakfast with the girls and bites into his omelette. He's disappointed when he says it tastes like nothing. Margot tells him that hers tastes perfect. As the man from the No-End House walks the street, his wife finds him, walking straight towards him down the street. He realizes that the shirt she's wearing is one that still in the closet at home and he shoots her in the head. A man emerges from a nearby house to take out the trash and he doesn't notice the body. Seth walks through a neighbourhood until he reaches a small cul de sac. In the center of the street is a circular cage containing four people. They struggle to get his attention.

Seth arrives back at home alone and offers to make Margot something to eat. She suggests that maybe they close off the door to the No-End House to prevent others from stumbling upon it or, perhaps, they could set it on fire. Seth refuses though, without giving reason. He thinks she cares about other people more than she cares about herself. In the basement of another house, Jules awakens to the sound of whispers and finds the sphere waiting for her around the corner, beckoning her closer. It reaches out to her and she asks what it is. It doesn't matter though; she's not the same person. It plays for her some of the memories she shared with Margot, but she refuses to reach back to it. As she leaves, it springs out at her.

Seth tells Margot that he never planned on liking her so much and that he's not who she thinks he is. He's someone who doesn't belong. He lives in the No-End House. He brought them there on purpose. Jules watches the fire but hears something whispering out in the distance. She rises alone and begins to walk out towards it. Dylan realizes that he needs to go get her, so he untethers himself from Lacey and asks JD to take his place, ziptying him to her wrist and urging him to stay put. As he leaves, Lacey tries to get him to run with her. They don't notice the woman emerging from the corn maze to feed on them.

The group ends up back at Margot's place, still chatting in pairs. Seth talks to Margot about being pushed around foster homes as a kid and Margot reveals that her dad died of an allergic reaction to prescription medication; she found him in the living room. She blames herself for not being home early and, possibly, changing the course of things. When Margot goes inside, the television is on. It cuts to an abstract video, much like the one on her phone, clearly an ad for the No-End House. It gives the address. She tells the others, despite her confusion. They drive out to it.

Margot searches her sock drawer for the one sock containing a bottle of prescription pills. While she does, Seth and Jules agree that they can't kill someone, but Seth encourages her to think about their living in the No-End House. In the house, all of them could live a suitable life, just like when he was tricked into staying there to live with a family. He was able to cage off the creatures feeding on him for his own safety. Jules ends up distracted when she checks her phone and sees the image of the sphere from the house. Down in the basement, Margot's father looks around to find photos of himself and his wife.

Margot is the first to make it back to the campfire to find out what's happened. In everyone's absence, the woman from the corn maze attacked Lacey, digging into her eyes in an attempt to get into her head. As Dylan leans down to cry over her body, he looks over and sees JD's arm is still tied to hers...and it's deteriorating. Realizing what he is, he draws his knife and cuts the ties, urging him to explain. When he doesn't, the man attacks, stabbing JD in the gut. Margot rushes to help him, but the truth comes out quickly, and he's revealed to them as one of the creatures. Seth corroborates, telling them all that this JD likely killed the real one and took his place. Dylan douses him in gasoline and sets him ablaze. Before the remaining members of the group continue into the hedge maze, Margot tells the others that Seth lives in the No-End House and he should not be able to come with them. She, Jules, and Dylan run into the maze, leaving Seth and a burning JD behind. Her father watches from the edge of the woods.

When they pull up on Nivens St., a large group has already arrived. Some people have already been inside; one girl throws up upon exiting. J.D. tells the group that some believe hallucinogens are pumped out from the house to affect visitors inside. He asks another visitor how they heard about the place and the guy says he's been searching for it. When Margot looks at a placard on the side of the building, it says: Unknown artist 'The No-End House' Date unknown Wood, nails, copper, caulk, you. The door to the house unlocks and the group is allowed to enter as an octet; it's the four who went together, the guy who searched for the house, a couple, and a final girl. The door closes behind them.

Margot asks Jules what happened and Jules says she came back to take her home. It's not that easy, according to Margot; she lives in the house and she doesn't remember what it was like on the outside; she only remembers Jules. As the two of them leave to check something out, Seth discovers she's no longer in the house. Jules takes Margot back to the house she was trapped inside to meet the hollow girl, another girl like Margot who Seth found and kept in the house until she was hollow, constantly asking where Seth has gone. This time when Jules asks if she's coming home, Margot doesn't respond. Jules tells her to wait in the house as she goes outside.

J.D. sits in his living room with...himself...and asks where his parents are. The other him makes it clear that he's not home; it's not his house or his neighbourhood. He thinks it was made of real J.D.'s memories and there's not really much else to it. Other J.D. claims to have all of the original memories, but there's no substance to them. For instance, he knows his favourite ice cream flavour is pistachio, but he can't remember ever having tasted it. That night, Margot heads out to the pool and her father throws her in playfully. Above the surface, all she can see is the pool, but underneath the water stretches on infinitely. When she comes back up for air, her father asks if she trusts him, and she says that she does.

A light flickers on in the main lobby and on the wall in front, in red paint, the words 'Beware the Cannibals' are written hastily. A door with the number one is unlocked in front of them. When they enter the first room, they find a clean chamber with white walls. On eight pedestals rest plaster heads-- one looking identical to each of them. The searcher watches from the end of the room while others investigate their likenesses; one of the visitors realizes that he can't take a photo since his phone keeps freezing. The lights go out, and when they come back on, plaster hands have torn each of the plaster heads in two...except for J.D.'s. The door to the next room opens on a nearby wall. Margot is the first to make her way toward it. One of the girls in the group leaves out the exit before anything else can happen.

Seth returns to his family's cul de sac to find Margot emerging from the house containing the hollow girl. He tells her that the girl came into the house in the same group that he did, but she didn't last long because she was younger and had less memories to steal. He tells her that he and her father want her to come home and as he comes closer, six girls emerge from the houses around the neighbourhood, all asking for Seth. Jules, meanwhile, finds her way to Margot's house to hear the sound of a knife sharpening; Margot's father greets her and says he knows why she's there since, if she kills him, it'll be easier to get Margot to leave. He tells her to do it. He knows what he is and has no problem not existing.

Margot, Jules, and Dylan arrive at the front steps of the No-End House and Dylan urges them to go ahead without him; he intends to stay behind to burn the whole thing down and end it. The door unlocks for them though, and they don't stay to argue. When they head inside, the lobby greets them as it did when they first arrived-- with the sign reading 'Beware the Cannibals'. Room 1 contains only two plinths, each one showing figures emerging from plaster molds of their heads. Margot forces Jules to advance to the next room with her. In Room 2, is the same brightly-lit, open space. They cross to where the door should be, but the lights go out. When they turn back on, a black pool spreads. Jules and Margot are barely able to get out before it fills the floor.

Elsewhere, the drifter waits as Lacey's alternate husband gets home from work. The man finds her tied up in the dining room and, when he finds the drifter in his kitchen with a gun, quickly and almost supernaturally knocks him down, disarming him before moving around the kitchen island. Thinking fast, the drifter grabs a knife from a block and stabs his adversary, telling Lacey that he wasn't real. Walking through the streets, Margot asks Seth what he saw in room 5, and he says it was families; they were all families that he grew up with in foster homes. She asks what they were like and he says he didn't want to remember them; they can decide to forget things. As they walk down the street, an obscure darkness marks the edge of the suburbs; they realize that this unfinished perimeter of the neighbourhood must be the edge of their new world. As Jules wakes up alone, she sees JD watching from the hallway and he heads in to greet her. He says that the place makes him sick and he really needs to get out, so they should look for an exit together. When he reveals that the other two went out alone, Jules insists that they go looking.

Margot gets out of the pool and dries off but to her surprise, when her father dries her off, something happens-- her memories seem to shake free. Her father realizes this, somehow. Jules and Seth camp out in a house for sale and decide that they'll need to sleep in shifts. That being said, they're not sure what to do about sleeping since they're already in a dream. Both of them fall asleep though, and Jules awakens when she hears whispers around her. She finds herself in an upstairs hallway, and opening the door at the end she finds the sphere waiting for her. She places her hand on it and it illuminates, but as she closes her eyes she doesn't notice the hand inside sliding towards hers.

Seth admits to Margot that he hasn't been completely honest with her. She's not happy with what she's discovered with Jules' help and he begins to think that maybe she's like everybody else who doesn't get why the house is so magnificent. Memories are a disease, he claims, and the No-End House is the cure for that. Margot says that if memories are a disease, then love must be an infection. Seth says that he's not a serial killer, but a serial monogamist, and he just loved the other girls before he loved her. That's when she opens the door to his family's cage. He tries to run, but Jules and Margot's father stop him, the former stabbing him in the stomach and the latter restraining him while the family feeds.

Seth informs Margot that they don't have much time to get her father's body back into the house before it disappears and they both begin dragging him to the front door. Before they can get there though, someone enters. It's her mother, returning from her work trip. Margot isn't able to convince her mother to leave with her and she sees the body on the floor moments before he awakens, vomiting up the drugged food and attacking them. Her father attacks her mother and Seth, but she's able to slip away, especially with his eyes swelling shut due to the allergic reaction. Nonetheless, he stalks through the kitchen looking for her. Margot tries to sneak out the back door, but this gives her away and he grabs her.

Margot and Seth end up at an old water tower overlooking the suburbs and, from there, they see how small the neighbourhood actually is. Weirdly, Seth says it's almost enjoyable to see. On one side, in the distance, Margot sees the No-End House. She also sees her father though as he patrols the streets...and he's close to running into Jules. Sure enough, just as Margot and Seth reach her, Margot's father rounds the corner and starts his pursuit. After the three set a trap, Margot's father catches up and tries to speak to her. He admits that he regrets killing himself; as soon as he took the pills it was too late and he was afraid of the pain. She realizes then that he's pretty much pulling the words out of her head; he's only made up of what she hoped was true, and he's probably not even real. As he steps forward, he falls into the hole in the floor, wherever it may lead.

J.D. stays at his house until past nightfall. He asks his other self if he can join in on the makeout session with the mystery girl from his house, but it's clear that she's not interested; the other J.D. is the 'better' version of him-- he's the version of himself he wants to be. Real J.D. asks his other self if he can help him out and teach him a thing or two, and his other self says that he wants to learn what real pistachio ice cream tastes like. Standing up from the couch, the other J.D. picks up a bottle of booze from the table and strikes his real self down with it, continuing to beat him until he stops moving. At her own house, Margot goes to sleep while her father watches from the hallway. He enters her room and walks to her bedside, placing his hands on her head and reading her memories.

Margot's father watches as Seth's family drains his memory dry and, shocked with his own actions, turns and leaves. Jules and Margot follow him back to the house and Margot finds him by the pool. She thanks him for protecting her from Seth as they hold hands. Then she picks up the knife he's left for her and he allows her to plunge it into him. Jules grabs her hands and helps her, steadying her motion before he drops into the pool. A heavy flowerpot tied to his leg sinks to the bottom, trapping him there in the depths. Margot and Jules both wait until night falls before deciding they're ready to go. Both of them head through the exit door inside the No-End House and emerge into the bright light beyond. The door closes behind them.

Seth awakens with a broken nose and finds Margot and her father in the kitchen; he's aggressively feeding on her memories to heal himself. Seth, thinking fast, rips her father's hands away to stop the process. She awakens from her stupor to find her father crushing Seth's skull and screams at him to stop, telling him that she'll go back to the house if he stops. Margot's mother later awakens in the hallways, but Margot, Seth, and the body are gone. They're all proceeding back to the house on foot. To their horror, it's still there at the end of the street. Jules returns to Margot's house to find blood on the floor and the closet smashed in. Margot's mother has called the cops to give a statement. She leaves before anyone can notice and runs through the night as fast as she can...but when she gets back to the correct street, the No-End House is nowhere to be found.

Reaching Room 5, Margot and Jules nervously enter together to find the man resembling her dead father-- with the bloated face-- seated in front of a full bathtub, swishing the water around with his hands. They walk around him as he rises but find there's no door waiting or them. He reaches towards them, moving closer for a hug while they pound on the wall and, fortunately, it gives way, spilling them out into the back end of the house. Looking around, they see a dandelion-- not an orchid-- and believe that they may be back in their world, finally. They head around the house to find two guys trying to get in. Margot suggests that maybe the house is full-- as in no longer hungry-- and they hop into her car. Back at the house, Margot's father exits out the back door and surveys the new world before him.
