Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Trivia Questions

1. Cameron is suffering from a glitch again on "Ourselves Alone" and does something that Sarah had earlier told her not to do. What is this accident, the result of a damaged arm?

From Quiz
"Terminator: TSCC" (More Season Two)

Answer: She kills a bird.

The unfortunate bird had chosen to nest in the Connors' chimney; Cameron had suggested that she kill it, but Sarah told her in no uncertain terms not to do so. Cameron now finds the bird loose in the living room; she grabs it and takes it outside to set it free, but her glitchy hand had held the poor bird too tight. She tells John what happened with the bird, and they attempt repairs on her arm using a stockpile of Terminator parts that were believed to have been (and supposed to have been) destroyed. Realizing that her glitch may be beyond repair, Cameron tells John that she has planted an explosive near her chip and gives him the detonator, to keep with him at all times.

2. "Samson and Delilah" starts things off with a damaged Cameron (whose programming has reverted), a house aflame, and John's deadly fight with Sarkissian. Which cast member sings the song that accompanies this opening sequence?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (Season Two)

Answer: Shirley Manson (Catherine Weaver)

"If I had my way, if I had my way If I had my way, I'd burn this whole building down." In her first major acting role, Scotswoman Shirley Manson of the rock band Garbage portrays the enigmatic T-1001 (liquid metal Terminator) who assumes the identity of Catherine Weaver. In this, her debut episode, ZeiraCorp CEO Weaver procures the intelligent, chess-playing A.I. known as the Turk. Weaver makes the bold claim to ZeiraCorp employees that her cryptic and curiously named new A.I. project, Babylon (named after a city in the Bible), will "change the world." The song "Samson and Delilah" (alternatively titled, "If I Had My Way"), was performed by the Grateful Dead in the 1970s, and by Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. It is based around the Biblical story of Samson, whose God-given strength relied on his hair remaining uncut, and his betrayer, Delilah. Shirley Manson's version for "T:TSCC" features some altered lyrics, more suited to the events that occur as it is being played. Ironically, at the end of the episode, John cuts his hair.

3. What is the name of the female terminator that helps Sarah and John?

From Quiz Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1

Answer: Cameron

Cameron meets John at school and saves him from being killed by another terminator posing as a supply teacher (Cromartie). She was sent back from 2027 to protect John.

4. This episode opens with a dream sequence, where a terminator is after the Conners. What 'relevant' character dies during this dream?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" - "Pilot"

Answer: John Conner

Sarah is having a dream in where she is racing to get John out of school before they are found by the terminator. While leaving the school, John and Sarah are stopped by the police and taken into custody. After being put in the back of the police cars, a terminator shows up and opens fire on the police, in an attempt to get to John. The Conners manage to escape the police cars, but the terminator shoots down John as he is fleeing.

5. This person plays the title character, Sarah Conner. She has appeared in various movies and T.V. shows, including a blockbuster movie in 2006. Who is this actress?

From Quiz "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles" - Stars

Answer: Lena Headey

Lena Headey plays Sarah Conner on the series. In 2006, she starred as Queen Gorgo, wife of King Leonidas, in the movie "300". She has also been in such films as "Remains of the Day" and "The Brothers Grimm".

6. Young Savannah Weaver finds an unusual playmate in John Henry (the chess A.I. hooked into Cromartie's body), and in "Today is the Day, Part One" the two play a potentially dangerous game of hide and seek. Where does Savannah hide?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (More Season Two)

Answer: In a helicopter on the roof

After "Mommy" disappoints Savannah by not playing hide and seek with her (that could have been interesting!), Savannah is led down to the basement. Skipping and giggling, she goes through the doors that open for her and follows the curiously flashing lights and music that any little girl would be drawn to. John Henry waves to her when she enters his room and asks, "Would you like to play hide and seek?" When Weaver finds that Savannah is missing, she and Ellison come to John Henry, who keeps a watchful eye on everything happening in the building. He reveals that Savannah is hiding, it's a game! He gives clues, they must figure out what he is thinking. Ellison grows increasingly angry, feeling this "game" is ridiculous, but Weaver insists that they play along. Ellison realizes that Savannah is on ZeiraCorp's helicopter pad, where they find her safe and sound. John Henry gets a talking-to from mentor Ellison about keeping secrets, but lies and secrecy still abound at ZeiraCorp.

7. In "Automatic for the People" John returns to school and meets a rather unusual girl named Riley Dawson. What odd phrase does Riley use in conversation with John?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (Season Two)

Answer: Carrots and apples

Riley: "You're full of carrots and apples." John Connor: "Carrots and apples?" Riley: "Yeah, carrots and apples. You know, happy thoughts." John Connor: "I don't think that's really...an expression." This conversation (not to mention Riley's Lego "protection" robot made for John) hints at the as-yet unknown truth about Riley. More puzzle pieces fall into place when, in flashbacks of the future, we hear Australian Resistance fighter Jesse Flores use the same "carrots and apples" expression. Revealed in later episodes, Jesse brought Riley back in time, so that John would develop feelings for Riley and, when Cameron was forced to kill her, John would turn against Cameron. Ultimately, Jesse herself kills Riley, framing Cameron, whom she believes has a corruptive influence upon John.

8. Andy Goode built an advanced artificial intelligence system that could play chess. What was the computer called?

From Quiz Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1

Answer: The Turk

9. During Sarah's dream, the terminator approaches her with his gun drawn and speaks to her. What is the last thing the terminator says to her before she wakes up?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" - "Pilot"

After John is shot by the terminator, Sarah runs over to where John is laying. As she sits there holding John's body, she screams at the terminator to kill her, that nothing matters anymore. The terminator walks over and agrees with her that nothing matters anymore. 10. When Cromartie reassembles himself after being blasted forward in time, he kills a man and steals his work uniform. What name is sewn on the uniform's label?

From Quiz "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" Season 1

Answer: Chet

11. The much sought after character, John Conner, is played by this young actor. He has appeared on quite a few television shows, but in 2006/2007 he played the character Zach in more than half of the first season of "Heroes".

12. "The Mousetrap" injects a little humor when John and landlord Kacy see clips of the low-budget film "Beast Wizard 7" on the local news. Who starred in this film?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (Season Two)

Answer: George Laszlo

George Laszlo's was the likeness Cromartie chose for himself, when he had to regrow the living tissue over his metal endoskeleton. Laszlo was soon terminated by Cromartie, but received the blame for Cromartie's massacre of 20 FBI agents. Due to this "excitement" the struggling actor's career posthumously receives a surge in popularity. As Cromartie places his captive, Michelle Dixon (Charley's wife), into a trap that makes use of mousetraps, he recounts the device's history: the mousetrap was invented in 1897 by James Atkinson. According to Cromartie, its record of snapping shut in 38 thousandths of a second has not been beaten, and "it is hard to build a better one." Cromartie's own "mousetrap" for John is very nearly successful. With Michelle in the T-888's hands, Charley has little option but to call for Sarah's help, leaving John alone with Cameron. John, trying to ditch Cameron to hang out with girlfriend Riley, has a narrow escape, but Michelle was not so fortunate: Cromartie's trap costs her life.

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" - "Pilot"

After Sarah and John are on the run, Agent Ellison questions Charley, who he repeatedly refers to as Mr. Dixon, on the whereabouts of Sarah Conner. While questioning Charley, Ellison refers to Sarah as "your fiancée". Also in a later scene, we see Ellison has a file on Sarah Conner and under "Known Associates", Charley Dixon is listed as her fiancé.

15. At the end of episode seven, "The Demon Hand", Derek sees Cameron doing what?

From Quiz "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" Season 1

Answer: Dancing

Derek says nothing, and it is unclear what he is thinking. The episode ends with Sarah's voiceover, which concludes, "They [machines] cannot appreciate beauty. They cannot create art. If they ever learn these things, things, they won't have to destroy us. They'll be us."

16. After Jesse's return from the Jimmy Carter's botched mission (still in "Today is the Day, Part Two"), she has a rather heated discussion with Cameron. Cameron tells Jesse that she is sorry for her loss. What was Cameron referring to?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (More Season Two)

Answer: Jesse's miscarriage

With the liquid metal now loose on the submarine, the atmosphere has grown very tense: anyone could be the mimetic machine. Suspicion results in a fight; Jesse demands that Dietz stand down and when he refuses, Queeg summarily executes justice, killing him. Jesse ends up attempting to relieve Queeg of duty, but he refuses and will not submit to chip extraction. Jesse kills Queeg. The Jimmy Carter's crew abandon the submarine, leaving it and the T-1001 deep in the water. Just before Jesse leaves, she comes face to face with the machine, who gives her a cryptic message for John Connor: "The answer is no." After returning to Serrano Point, a very angry Jesse has a confrontation with Cameron who refuses to let her speak with Connor, saying, "Telling me is the same as telling John." Yes, Dietz was onto something by questioning Connor and his dependence on the machines. Jesse relays the message of "no" to Cameron, who reveals that the question had been, "Will you join us?" Cameron then tells Jesse that she is sorry for her loss: Jesse had been pregnant and now, was not.

From Quiz Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1

29. Which two characters from earlier episodes reprise their roles in the Season Two finale, "Born To Run"?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (More Season Two)

Answer: Father Bonilla and Chola

Chola served as a lookout for Carlos (Enrique's nephew) and his gang, from whom Sarah got IDs for the "family" in Season One. Cameron always seemed to be rather fascinated by Chola, who never spoke a word until this episode. Father Bonilla, who had provided sanctuary to Sarah and John when Cameron was hunting them, is the one person that Sarah can trust and speak privately with when she is in jail. The things he had seen before lead him to understand Sarah's story of a future war, and evil machines. He provides IDs and passports for John and Cameron and a message from Sarah to John, delivered by Chola. Sarah wants John to leave, not to think of her or come for her. Chola adds her own message for John: "We lose everybody we love," something she, the survivor of a massacre, knows well.

30. "Mr. Ferguson Is Ill Today" but there's no need to worry: we have a substitute. The climax of this episode takes place in Mexico, where "substitute teacher" Cromartie is finally laid to rest. What is unusual about the way the storyline unfolds?

From Quiz "Terminator: TSCC" (Season Two)

Answer: The events are divided into the "stories" of each major character.

The episode is divided into the stories of Sarah, Cameron, John, Ellison, Derek, and Cromartie - each giving a slightly different perspective on events. John (unbeknownst to any of his protectors) takes Riley to Mexico, to see the village where John lived as a child. Unfortunately, John "Baum" is recognized as John Connor, Cromartie tracks John to Mexico (with Sarah tied up in his vehicle's trunk), and Ellison gets involved when he hears of John Connor's arrest. John's phone call to Derek, an alarm code, sends Derek and Cameron to Mexico, as well. Following Cromartie's slaughter at the jail, he seals his fate by following Ellison into the village church - it's a trap! "Have you come to repent?" Ellison asks Cromartie, who replies, "I'm looking for John Connor." Well, you found him, Cromartie - gunfire pours down upon Cromartie from multiple directions. The death blow is dealt by John Connor. Cromartie's chipless body is buried for retrieval later, his chip is destroyed. It's all over - or is it?
