"Of Mice and Men" features two characters, Lenny and George. One of them being a big, tall guy that doesn't have a lot of brains at all. The other being small, but very smart, really he is the leader of the two. In "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy", Jak and Daxter meet two eco prospectors that are supposed to be characterized as Lenny and George.

Breaking the tethers and protecting Farthy's snacks do earn you a Power Cell. You couldn't complete the game without defeating Klaww or the Precursor Robot though. As for shooting the Lurkers at Boggy Swamp, you can defeat them without shooting them.

Grab it, and a bridge will form. Klaww will continue to shoot rocks at Jak as he crosses the bridge. Jak will have to dodge them. Get a hold of the Yellow Eco at the end of the bridge, and shoot it at Klaww until he drops the giant rock, that he starts to create, on top of his head. From there, Jak should run back to platforms until he gets Blue Eco again. Each time, the bridge will have less pieces.
