Bomberman Games Trivia Questions

1. In "Bomberman I", why did White Bomberman want to go to the surface by escaping the underground compound?

From Quiz
"Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Because there was a rumor that stated if a robot gets to the surface, it would turn into a human

The storyline never appeared until it was written for the NES version. Bomberman was engaged in the production of bombs in a factory, but he was never tortured there.

2. Who has fire missles?

From Quiz "Bomberman 64" for the N64

Answer: Artemis

In this video game, Regulus does his "range" attack, Orion uses his force field, and Altair is the main enemy (for now) and has many attacks. If you are quick, you can toss Altair out, defeating him!

3. If the timer in "Bomberman I" runs out, what will happen?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Approximately twenty "Pontan" enemies will appear

The player has 200 seconds to complete a level in "Bomberman I". If the timer runs out, twenty Pontan enemies will appear and Bomberman must defeat them. Pontans are very fast enemies which can cross destructive walls and they can chase down Bomberman, but they won't appear in the main levels until very later on (if the timer hasn't run out yet).

4. Who is the first major enemy you meet?

From Quiz "Bomberman Hero" for the N64

Answer: Nitros

You find out that Nitros is actually a Bomber Trainee later in the game, but it counts that he is an enemy. You fight Endol in Peace Mountains after you fight Nitros. The manta ray is a minor enemy in planet Primus and the giant crab is a minor enemy on planet Bomber.

5. What is the maximum for bombs?

From Quiz "Bomberman 64" for the N64

Answer: 8

Eight is actually more than enough you need at one time, except at the column in Green Gardens with a teleporter on the top. You will need a bomb ladder that uses 6 to 8 bombs to get on the column. Once you use the teleporter, you will be in a area with a custom part. If you walk around the edges of this area, you will find water running from a hole. If you pressed a switch that slowed the water earlier in this level, you can walk in the hole.

6. If the bomb explosion touches the exit door, what will happen?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Extra enemies will appear as a punishment

This happens with the power-ups, too. They disappear and let off enemies, so you must be careful where you put bombs.

7. What shape of rock do you have to bomb to get a gold gem in Fog Route?

From Quiz "Bomberman Hero" for the N64

Answer: Square

This gem is hidden well; however you can see that it stands out a bit. Bomberman can barely fit through it when it opens up. If it was a triangle or a circle, it would not be possible to get the blue gem.

8. In the area before fighting Altair, where is the item block maze?

From Quiz "Bomberman 64" for the N64

Answer: At the end

The maze is easy if you destroy the item blocks. Most people I know go straight forward and fall to lose one life on their first try on the level if they are not careful. Once you destroy the enemy sign (The large bird sign), you will start the maze.

9. What do you do to hit the freeze flower to freeze Groog Hills?

From Quiz "Bomberman Hero" for the N64

Answer: Do a rolling bomb attack

Hold B to do a rolling bomb attack. Press A then B to throw bombs in higher places. Run in to a bomb or press R twice to kick a bomb. Press B to throw a bomb, which is the most used out of these four in the game.

10. Why did White Bomberman go to prison in "Bomberman II's" intro?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Because Black Bomberman left a bag of money he stole next to him and White took the blame

Black Bomberman stole the money from a bank, then he placed the bag next to White Bomberman right when the police came. Then, White started the game in the jail area. Black Bomberman is defeated after beating the game.

11. In Ears Lake, what item do you have to get to go through the second exit?

From Quiz "Bomberman Hero" for the N64

Answer: The wall through item

The wall through item makes you go through certain walls, the salt bomb item makes you have salt bombs which only harm slugs, the fire item makes blasts from your bombs larger, and the freeze bomb item makes you have freeze bomb to freeze enemies in Cool Cave, where this bomb is most used. A bomb item makes the limit of bombs you can use at one time increase by one.

12. How many Gold Cards are in this game?

From Quiz "Bomberman 64" for the N64

Answer: 120

There are 20 extra in Rainbow Palace. There are also two hard-to-get ones in Rainbow Palace.

13. In which Stage did the enemy 'Pass' first appear in "Bomberman I"?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Stage 14

Pass is a cat-like enemy that is also known as "Parse". It's a fast enemy which often chases Bomberman. It first appeared in Stage 14, along with the enemy Doria. In Stage 4, the enemy "Minvo" appeared, and in Stage 48, Pontan appeared (without waiting for the timer to run out). Bomberman consisted of only fifty levels, so Stage 57 doesn't exist.

14. In "Bomberman I", how many points are the enemies "O'Neal/Onil" worth?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: 200

O'Neal is the second enemy that appeared in the classic game. It's an onion-like enemy which is quicker than Baloom and can start chasing Bomberman if he's too close.

15. What colour is O'Neal?

From Quiz "Bomberman I" and "Bomberman II"

Answer: Blue

O'Neal is blue "Bomberman" and "Bomberman II". It has a white top.

16. In planet Gossik what is the main enemy's name?

From Quiz "Bomberman Hero" for the N64

Answer: Evil Bomber

Planet Gossik is a secret planet. To unlock this planet you have to get a 5 in each level and get all the Adok bombs (Blue spheres that are hidden in some levels). Bagular is the main boss in planet Garaden and Bolban is the boss you face in planet Kanita.
