1. How many Smash Gates are in Paradise City?

Answer: Four hundred

Smash Gates are yellow chain link fences with a "Private Property" sign on them. Smash Gates usually mark the entrance or exit to a secret area or short-cut in Paradise City. There are four hundred in total, fifty in Palm Bay Heights, eighty in Downtown Paradise and ninty in Harbour Town, Silver Lake and White Mountain. Smashing all four hundred will unlock the Carson Carbon GT Concept.

The in-game challenge for shutting down the Inferno Van is called "You Just Hired the B-Team". The Inferno Van was modeled off of the B-Team Van from "Burnout 3: Takedown".

The junkyard is used because all of the cars that the player takes down throughout the game are sent there to be used by the player. The player must repair all vehicles via the Repair Shop if they wish for them to look like new.

Super Jumps are large ramps or jumps marked by glowing blue cones. There are fifty in total, ten in each district. Landing all fifty Super Jumps will unlock the Jansen Carbon X12. Super Jumps are widely used in Stunt Runs as they can easily earn the player multipliers.

The Burning Route version of the Watson 25 V16 Revenge is the Watson Revenge Racer. The Revenge Racer made it's first appearance in "Burnout: Revenge".

Answer: Repair Shop

The Repair Shop will repair any vehicle to prime condition after driving through it. This is especially useful during a race or road rage event, where your car can be completely destroyed after crashing a few times.

Burnout Billboards are large red billboards with the "Burnout Paradise" logo on them. Billboards are usually found in short-cuts, on top of buildings and above jumps. There are one hundred twenty in total, thirty in Downtown Paradise, twenty-five in Harbour Town and White Mountain and twenty in Palm Bay Heights and Silver Lake. Smashing all one hundred twenty Burnout Billboards will unlock the Montgomery Carbon Hawker.

The Lone Peaks Quarry is a hotspot for Stunt Runs. It is possible to earn 1 million points just by doing stunts in the Lone Peaks Quarry.

Gas Stations are very useful as they completely refill the boost bar for anyone who drives through them. This can mean the difference between 2nd and 1st in a race.

The nine car manufacturers include Carson, Hunter, Jansen, Kitano, Krieger, Montgomery, Nakamura, Rossolini and Watson. The only Big Surf Island car is by Carson and both the starter bikes are by Nakamura.

Road Rage events have been around Burnout since the early games. Prior to one of the updates for "Burnout Paradise", with the right car, it was possible to achieve scores of 100+ Takedowns.

No trick here, the Race starts at an intersection somewhere in Paradise City and ends at a specific location. However, players may choose whichever route they wish to get there as fast as possible, making for endless possibilities. Speed class cars are best suited for these types of events.

DJ Atomika is the in-game commentator and the DJ for Crash FM. DJ Stryker is from 'Burnout 3: Takedown', DJ Bandit is the Spanish Atomika and Diabolika is the French.

Answer: Road Rage

The number of takedowns must be equal to or greater than that of the target limit before time runs out in order to win this type of event. An Aggression class car is better suited for this type of event, as it can take down other cars more easily than the other classes.

The 'Jansen P12 88 Special' is just like any other car whist driving around, but when the L3/LS button is pressed, the wheels retract and the car starts hovering. The car is an obvious reference to the DeLorean from the 'Back To The Future' series as it also leaves a trail of fire when it boosts.

Answer: Airfield

There is only one Billboard obtainable by using jumps in the Airfield while there are two obtainable from the other locations. If you can smash through all 120 Billboards, You will be rewarded with the Carbon Hawker, which is faster and more durable than the Hawker.

There are seventy Timed Challenges, ten for each number of players. The Timed Challenges differ from the regular car challenges as they are timed and require two objectives to be completed to succeed.

Answer: Carson Hot Rod Coupe

The Hot Rod Coupe has been featured in almost every Burnout game. You could obtain it by winning all Burning Laps ("Burnout 3: Takedown") and by completing challenge cards for areas of the game ("Burnout: Revenge").

Answer: Marked Man

In a marked man event, players can only be taken down three times before needing to repair. They can do so by driving through an Auto Repair shop. An Aggressive Class car is well suited for this type of event, as they are much more difficult to take down than a Speed or Stunt Class car.

The Carbon Vehicles are unlocked by completing large Freeburn tasks. The 'Carbon Ikusa GT' is unlocked by beating all sixty-four Time Road Rules, the 'Carbon Hydros Custom' is unlocked by beating all sixty-four Showtime Road Rules, the 'Carbon X12' is unlocked by landing all fifty Super Jumps, the 'Carbon GT Concept' is unlocked by smashing all four hundred Smash Gates, the 'Carbon Hawker' is unlocked by hitting all one hundred twenty Burnout Billboards and the 'Carbon Überschall 8' is unlocked by complete two full sets of Freeburn Challenges.

There are five drive through outlets in the Paradise Mainland, one in each district. Diving through a Paintshop will randomly change the colour of your vehicle without the need of a Junkyard. Some cars, such as Carbon Vehicles cannot be painted and the message "This car cannot be painted" will appear.

The GT Flame is only obtainable after receiving your Burnout License (Unless you purchase the Time Savers pack). To get your Elite License, you need to win all Races, Marked Man, Road Rages, Stunt Runs, and any remaining Burning Routes since they don't reset after getting a new License unlike the other events.

The player starts out with this license and only one car. The player can upgrade their license after a few wins, and they will also gain another car.

Platinum paint can be added to the thirty-seven regular Paradise cars and their Burning Route versions. Gold paint is unlocked when you earn your Elite Licence. The majority of cars can be painted white from the beginning. Carbon Vehicles cannot be painted with Gold paint or Platinum paint.

Cops and Robbers gave all original cars Cop liveries. The only Burning Route prize car that has a Cop livery is the PCPD Special only because it already was a police vehicle.

The Criterion Elite is the final license in the game. After earning each license, all of the events in Paradise City are reset. This allows the player to do events previously played over again, and counts them towards the next license.
