From Quiz

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Six

These original six were, in order, Glass Joe, Piston Hurricane, Bald Bull, Kid Quick, Pizza Pasta, and Mr. Sandman. Pizza Pasta never returned since, and it's rumored that Kid Quick was supposed to return, but had been altered so much Nintendo had to rename him. Thus, Disco Kid made his "Punch-Out" debut.

3. How many different opponents does Little Mac fight?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: 11

He fights Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, Piston Honda, Don Flamenco, King Hippo, Great Tiger, Bald Bull, Soda Popinski, Mr. Sandman, Super Macho Man, and Mike Tyson.

4. How do you instantly knock Glass Joe down in one punch (even with full health)?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: After he taunts you, punch his body

When he goes back and taunts you then you can KO him instantly when he comes back. The punch needs decent timing to work, as if he is too far away, the punch will miss. If you punch too late, he will block the punch. Before you KO him, the taunt that he says means "Eh, eh? Long live France!" in English in Contender mode, and it means "Eh, eh? Liberty!" in English in Title Defense mode.

5. How do you beat Piston Honda 2 with only one knockdown in the NES "Punch-Out!!"?

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Body blow counter before Bonsai Attack

Though some gamers have found ways to beat Honda 2 before the 1:00 Bonsai Attack, the simplest way is to not take a hit for that minute, then a right body blow counter before he unleashed his attack It can be done anytime he does this, and you have four opportunities (twice in rd. 1, once in rd. 2, and once in rd. 3).

6. How many matches does Little Mac fight?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: 14

He faces each guy at least once, and he faces Don Flamenco, Bald Bull, and Piston Honda twice.

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: Star punch him so his head gear falls off, then repeatedly punch his head

In Title Defense mode, Glass Joe sees a doctor before the fight and the doctor recommends that he wear a special head gear. All punches to his head with the head gear on will not do any damage. Little Mac wears a green colored version of the same head gear when you go into training mode against any opponent.

8. What is the only way to knock down Bald Bull while he's doing the bull charge?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: Punch him in the body

When you punch him in the body at the right time, he'll go down right away. If you do anything else, you'll get knocked down. You can move out of the way, but he'll continue the charge.

9. Can King Hippo get back up after being knocked down?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: Yes, but only in Contender mode

When you KO King Hippo, he is so fat that he falls off of the ring. When you take off his crown, he falls over... but lands on the railing. Then he gets back up.

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Automatic loss

There was no decision in the arcade games; if time ran out, you lost, but it wasn't game over unless you used up your continue. There was no way to lose points, either.

11. Who is your 8th opponent?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: Piston Honda

Bald Bull is 7th and 10th, Don Flamenco is 4th and 11th, Soda Popinski is 9th, and Piston Honda is 3rd and 8th.

12. Who are the champions of the Minor Circuit, Major Circuit, and World Circuit?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: King Hippo, Don Flamenco, and Mr. Sandman

While most people tend to think that Great Tiger SHOULD be the Major Circuit Champion, it is still Don Flamenco. In the original "Punch Out!" for the NES, King Hippo was in the Major Circuit, and Piston Hondo was the Champion for the Minor Circuit. Now, in the Wii version, King Hippo is the Champion of the Minor Circuit and Piston Hondo is in the Major Circuit.

13. Who held the WVBA title in the arcade "Super Punch-Out!!"?

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Super Macho Man

Vodka Drunkenski was the only other opponent even in that game. Sandman was the first "Punch-Out" WVBA champion, with Bald Bull ranked #5. Vodka Drunkensi was renamed Soda Popinski and given an addiction to soda in his NES "Punch-Out" return to remove the drunk Russian stereotype.

14. Who loses every time when he gets knocked down once?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: King Hippo

He's so fat that he can't get up once you knock him down. He's easy to defeat.

15. What color are Super Macho Mans gloves?

16. How many circuits were there in Super Punch-Out (SNES)?

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Four

They were the Minor, Major, World, and Special Circuits. You could only access the Special Circuit by going undefeated in the first three and not using a Game Genie cheat. Of course, if you did use a cheat, then there was a cheat to cancel.

17. Is Mr. Sandman the last fighter?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: Yes, in both modes

There is actually a secret fighter after Mr Sandman. Mr. Sandman IS the last fighter in both Contender and Defense.

18. Who appeared in the most games in the series as of the Wii "Punch-Out!!"?

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Bald Bull

Bald Bull was in five: arcade "Punch-Out", "Arm Wrestling" as Mask X, and all three home console "Punch-Out" games. Macho Man and Sandman appeared in four, and Glass Joe was in three. Not even Little Mac has made as many appearances!

19. In which Circuit is the ring floor red?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: None

Minor is dark blue, Major is green, and World is a light blue.

20. Who is the secret fighter?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: Donkey Kong

You can actually fight Donkey Kong in this game. There is a separate game that you could get from Club Nintendo called "Doc Louis's Punch Out!" where you basically fight Doc to train yourself. I put in Mario as an answer because in the original "Punch Out!" for the NES, the referee was Mario, and many people are wondering why they changed him.

21. What color are Little Mac's gloves when he fights Mike Tyson?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: Light blue

Since you got this far, you fight Tyson in awesome light blue gloves. They look like neon gloves.

22. What does Mr. Sandman say when you click on him in Title Defense mode?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: "DREAMLAND!"

23. After Little Mac wins the Minor and Major Circuits, what color is his suit when he's training in New York?

From Quiz Punch-Out

Answer: Pink

I don't know why he wears pink. Green would look better.

24. Where is King Hippo from?

From Quiz "Punch Out Wii" Ultimate Test!

Answer: Hippo Island, South Pacific

When it shows King Hippo's statistics, King Hippo's age, and weight are listed as "???". His location is listed as "Hippo Island, South Pacific".

25. In "Super Punch-Out!!" for the SNES, how many opponents from the NES "Punch-Out!!" returned?

From Quiz "Punch-Out" From Arcades to Wiis

Answer: Three

Only three: Bald Bull, the Minor Circuit champion, Mr. Sandman, the Major Circuit titleholder, and Super Macho Man, the World Circuit king. Every single other opponent didn't appear in the previous installment, and other than those listed above, Piston Hurricane, Dragon Chan, and Bear Hugger were the only opponents to have appeared in a "Punch-Out" game before.
