The yen ( ¥ ) is the official currency of Japan, and is the third most-traded currency in the world, following the American dollar and the Euro. The yen was formerly divided into sen (1/100) and rin (1/1000), but today the 1 yen coin is the smallest denomination.

Answer: lek

The lek ( L ) is the official currency of Albania. There used to be denominations of 'qindarka', but now the smallest denomination is a 1 lek coin. The plural of lek is leke.
3. GTM

Answer: won

The won ( ₩ ) is the currency of both Koreas, distinguished as 'North Korean won' ( KPW ) and 'South Korean won' ( KRW ).

The euro is used by 19 members (of 27) of the European Union, as well as by a four non-EU microstates (Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City), A British Overseas Territory (Akrotiri and Dhekelia), and a couple of other, recently established countries (Montenegro and Kosovo).

And in Europe, using the Swiss franc ( Fr ): Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Largely (but not exclusively) connected to the United Kingdom and its protectorates and former colonies, the pound ( £ ) is used in many countries around the world, including:

The United Kingdom, Alderney, Ascension Island, Egypt, the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Saint Helena, South Sudan, and Syria.

The Lebanese pound uses the symbol ( ل.ل ).
The Sudanese pound uses the symbol ( ج.س. ).

The rupee is used in the following Southern Asian countries and Indian Ocean islands:

The Indian rupee ( ₹ ) is used in Bhutan and India.

Mauritius, Pakistan, the Seychelles, and Sri Lanka use ( Rs ) for their rupees.

And the Nepalese rupee looks like ( रू ).

Another ubiquitous currency is the dollar ( $ ), which is found in North and Central America and the Caribbean, in Africa, in Asia, and in Oceania. The strongest of these on the international stage is the United States dollar, which is the standard that many other currencies are tied to.

The kwacha ( K ) is used in just two African countries: Malawi ( MK ) and Zambia ( ZK ).

The Malawian kwacha is divided into tambala (1/100), while the Zambian kwacha is divided into ngwee (1/100).

The 'Israeli new shekel' ( ₪ ) is used in Israel and Palestine. It is divided into 100 agorot (singular agora).
