4. David won Best Actor at the 2009 TV BAFTAs.

Answer: Proofreader for the Oxford University Press

Although on "Would I Lie To You" David claimed to have been a tourguide in a hat museum, this was in fact a lie. His first job was a proofreader and general dogsbody at the Oxford University Press. Ironic given the rivalry between Oxford University and Cambridge University where David studied.
