Elvis played Clint Reno who stayed behind while his three brothers' fought in the American Civil War as confederates. Clint married his brother's girlfriend, Cathy. At the end, a gunfight was held between the two brothers and Clint was shot and killed.

James William Buffett was born on December 25, 1946, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. His family and close friends called him "Bubba", which was a true southern nickname. Some interesting information on Buffett was that he majored in journalism and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity of Epsilon-Nu Chapter from the University of Southern Mississippi.

He has also been known to be a huge supporter in the Save the Manatee project in Florida.
