Matthew plays a typical high school kid in this film who happens to have a talent for hacking computers. A lover of video games, his hacking is essentially innocent (except when he changes his grades in the school computer!) until he gets himself in trouble by breaking into the North American defense network (aka NORAD). Trouble ensues!

Matthew plays Phillipe Gaston (the Mouse) in 'Ladyhawke'. He is befriended by Captain Etienne Navarre, played by Rutger Hauer, and becomes privy to the curse that is suffered by Navarre and his lover Isabeau d'Anjou, portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer. The rest of the film shows how Gaston attempts to assist the lovers in escaping their curse.

'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' remains a salient teenage comedy to the modern day, a timeless film that can resonate with each new generation. After all, which kid doesn't dream of playing hookey from school? The film also featured Alan Ruck as the depressive Cameron, Mia Sara as Ferris's sweet girlfriend, Jeffrey Jones as the scheming principal Mr. Ed Rooney and Jennifer Grey as Ferris's bitter sister Jeanie/Shauna.

Jimmy Garrett becomes privy to a secret experimental project that is given the mysterious title 'Project X', involving chimpanzees that are under his care. With Teri, played by co-star Helen Hunt, Garrett gets to the bottom of this top secret project and attempts to liberate his newfound primate friends.

Once again, Broderick finds himself working in a movie scripted by Neil Simon. This time he plays Eugene Jerome, an army private from New York Ciy misplaced in Biloxi, Mississippi. Broderick's character is based loosely on Neil Simon's personal experience, and he does a wonderful job bringing the character alive.

A very notable performance in this film is also turned in by Christopher Walken, who plays the somewhat loopy Sgt. Toomey.

Answer: Dustin Hoffman and Sean Connery

Despite the appearances of Hoffman, Broderick and Connery, alongside the direction of Sidney Lumet, 'Family Business' falls short of being a great film. There are some memorable moments, however, with the great actors featured here. If anyone shines in his role, it would have to be Mr. Connery, who plays Jessie McMullen, the patriarch of the McMullen family.

Not only is Broderick's performance of high quality, he is also surrounded by an all-star cast which included Denzel Washington as Private Trip (Oscar winner for 'Best Supporting Actor'), Morgan Freeman as Sergeant Major John Rawlins and Andre Braugher as Corporal Thomas Searles. This is one of the best films I have seen on the American Civil War.

Broderick portrayed the voice of the adult Simba in Disney's 'The Lion King'. He generously reprised his voice role for 'The Lion King II: Simba's Pride' and 'The Lion King 1 1/2' as well.

Answer: The Cable Guy

'The Cable Guy' was a very dark comedy, especially so far as Jim Carrey films go. Though it was rather unpopular amongst film fans in general, I found Carrey's performance to be rather amusing. Matthew Broderick does a great job of making Carrey's character look especially creepy with his straight man performance.
